I Turn to This Unexpected Brand for All My Expensive-Looking Basics

It can get a little uninspiring searching for affordable clothing at the same old high-street stores. Of course, we have our favourites we know we can always rely on, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to diversify once in a while. And as editors, we take our responsibility for introducing you to lesser-known brands we come across quite seriously‚ especially when those brands have nailed the trifecta of being affordable, stylish and sustainably conscious. Enter Nobody’s Child.

If you’ve been readingBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing UK for a while, you’ve probably heard us raving about the British brand before. We’re big fans of its versatile, throw-on dresses, and we’re not alone. So many celebs, including Rochelle Humes, Holly Willoughby and Sienna Miller, have been spotted in its pretty styles.

Humes wore the understated Rosie Linen Midi Dress to present This Morning last week.

Pretty floral dresses might be the brand’s MO, but after a recent scroll through the new-in section, I discovered that’s not the only thing Nobody’s Child can do well. Actually, it was the minimalist, understated wardrobe staples that caught my eye this time, from chic suiting to simple slip skirts and monochrome linen dresses. These are expensive-looking basics at their finest and the kind of buys I love to bolster my wardrobe with, especially since they can be worn across all seasons and are often much more timeless than printed or trend-led items.

Keep scrolling, then, to see an edit of my favourite minimalist pieces from Nobody’s Child’s current new-in section, perfect for wearing right now and all the way into autumn/winter and next year too.
