Melissa Meyers and her daughter, Rachel Meyers, used to live in New York City with their family before they all moved to Los Angeles (where they’ve lived for years now). Well, Rachel recently moved back to NYC, but regardless of the coast they’re on, the Meyers women share similar sartorial sensibilities. So on that note, we thought it could be intriguing to uncover the fall trends they both love wearing between the coasts. "Rachel and I have similar taste in style (hers is edgier and mine more boho), and we like many of the same trends,” Melissa said.

The trends in question are all easy to wear and work for those on-the-go city lifestyles. We’re talking about pieces like faux-leather separates and versatile matching sets.

Keep scrolling for a range of styling references shot between L.A. and NYC and when Melissa visited Rachel in the city. There are also shopping picks if you’re looking for further fall inspiration.
