Fashion Girl Endorsed Off-Duty Looks You'll Love for Fall

While we tend to put a lot of time and energy into planning our outfits for major occasions like interviews and first dates, we’ve found that some of our most memorable looks have been ones we’ve quickly thrown together for more casual occasions (think coffee dates, brunch with friends, or leisurely weekend museum trips). After all, as models and A-listers constantly show us, off-duty style doesn’t have to mean lazy or uninspired—just the opposite, actually. Need some inspiration for your own off-the-clock looks this season? Below, bloggers Elizabeth Keene, Merritt Beck, and Lisa DiCicco Cahue show you their go-to off-duty fall outfits from INC International Concepts.

A Keene Sense of Style’s Elizabeth Keene, who has been featured in Glamour, Elle, and Marie Claire, started blogging while she was still working full-time at a private equity firm, and her off-duty style remains professional. “This outfit is an updated version of off-duty dressing: My turtleneck is sleek and tailored, while my gaucho pants are chic, sporty, and a bit playful,” she says. “Together, they create the perfect juxtaposition.” Looking for a more casual vibe? Just switch your heels out for flats.
Mind Body Swag’s Lisa DiCicco Cahue describes her style as “effortless, chic, and minimalistic,” and she’s found a weekend look to match. “I think off-duty shouldn’t look messy,” says the blogger, who has been featured on Vogue.com and Tommy Ton. “Choosing classic pieces such as this black-and-white sweater will always add a chic element to your off-duty look.” Plus, the buttons on the sweater are covered in the texture of the moment: velvet.
Dallas native Merritt Beck is known for her classic way of dressing. “When I’m not at a conference or an important meeting, I like to be casual and comfortable,” the Style Scribe blogger explains. “With that said, I always opt for elegant wardrobe staples like black leggings, over-the-knee boots, and a simple sweater or pretty blouse.” Here she also incorporates a bit of the ’70s vibe that’s been all over runways the past few seasons.
