As someone who spends a great deal of time thinking about, buying, and wearing sneakers, I think I'm in a good position to talk about how to wear them right now, although it's admittedly pretty obvious. The fact that sneakers are no longer reserved just for workouts is something that is unlikely to ever change, and I think we're all pretty happy about that. Some ways to style them are certainly fresher than others, and I'm here to tell you about the sneaker pairing I'm seeing everywhere.
Sneaker outfits always catch my eye on Instagram, and in life, and I can confirm that my studies show that the coolest way to wear them right now is with comfortable, oversize pieces. (Think pretty much every sneaker outfit Hailey Bieber wears.) If you're going to wear a suit, make it oversize. If you're going to wear jeans, choose an oversize pair. If you're going to wear a coat, go with an oversize one—you get the idea. As far as the sneakers go, well, anything goes. Pairs as varied as New Balance 990s, On Cloud sneakers, and classic Converse will work with loose clothing, so take your pick.
