Why Petra Collins Is the Coolest Fashion Girl

Not many individuals have accomplished what Petra Collins has in her short 23 years of living. She’s a photographer, artist, model, feminist, writer, and pretty much everything of the like and has gained recognition for all of it. She began practicing her craft during her teens and, in just a short number of years, has grown into one of the more recognized faces among the creative community.

If you haven’t heard of her yet, allow us to briefly fill you in. In 2013, Collins penned an evocative article about the deletion of her Instagram account over an “unaltered” image of her in a bikini that revealed pubic hair. Within the piece, she explored the unfair inconsistencies that occur between the portrayal of male and female sexuality. Aside from being an awesome proponent of the modern feminist movement, she’s also had her photograph featured in publications like Vogue, Love Magazine, and Elle, plus she was cast in Amazon’s Transparent, featured in Gucci’s F/W 16 campaign, and author of a book titled Babe in 2015.

Suffice it to say, the girl’s got it going on. And though good looks don’t make a woman interesting, we can’t help but swoon over her incredible style and natural beauty, too.

We gathered some of our favorite recent outfits below to give you a taste of what it’s like to be Petra Collins and included some shopping so you can try out her eccentric style. Enjoy!
