I Ordered Reformation's Famous Wide-Leg Trousers—Now I'm Wearing Them on Repeat

As a fashion editor, I know all too well how much newness there is every season, and how difficult it is to know what is and isn’t really worth investing in. But, that’s part of our jobs here atBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing —to assist you in cutting through the masses and honing in on the pieces you’re really going to love and cherish (and, of course, wear) for a long time. In the spirit of that, I’m here today to recommend that if you’re considering investing in any wardrobe staple this season, you should make it Reformation's Mason Pants.

You might already be familiar with these chic wide-leg trousers (especially if you read a lot of my articles), mainly because I won’t shut up about how great they are. I’ve been a wide-leg trousers connoisseur for a long time now, and you can trust me when I say I’ve tried a lot of pairs. Some were far too long (I’m only 5’2”), some balloon out too much thanks to badly placed pleating, some were too tapered or too wide at the ankle. But these; these are the closest thing to perfection that I’ve found. And it’s not just me who thinks so—the trousers are basically famous these days, with a host of celebrity fans, from Kaia Gerber to Nicole Kidman. A number of stylishBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing US editors, as well as my fellow colleagues on the ground in London have also declared their love for the Mason Pants. Not to mention the amazing feedback I get from my social media followers whenever I recommend them on there.

I think the secret is the fabric, which is a sustainable 100% TENCEL lyocell (you can read more about their responsible credentials here). They’re lightweight enough to be extremely comfy (and perfect for the upcoming winter season), but the fabric has enough weight that it hangs beautifully. Not only has Reformation focused on making them sustainable, but inclusive too—the Mason Pants come in extended sizes and a petite options, and there’s eleven colours to choose from.

Who What Wear US's Fashion Editor pairs hers with a cute tank top and white loafers, also from Reformation.

I invested in the black last year and wore them all winter, so I decided to order a beige pair to test out just how versatile they could be for the transitional months. Below, you can see five ways I styled them up during my deliberation process, and I think I’ve convinced myself they need to stay. Yes, they’re an investment at around £180, but when it’s an item I can wear to the office, working from home and at weekends, and a style that is comfy but looks polished, I know I’ll get an awful lot of wear out of them. If you’re thinking of investing, too, for sizing reference I’m a size 10 and 5’2” tall. Below I'm wearing a petite 10 as I wanted to be able to wear them with flats like trainers, ballet pumps and sandals in summer. But I have the black in the standard length which I can easily wear with heels and heeled boots.
