Reformation's Sale Is Finally Here—8 Marked-Down Items I Tried On and Loved
Out of all the sales that have come and gone this summer, only a handful really standout as being elite and worthy of some serious set-aside time. There's Nordstrom's iconic Anniversary Sale, Zara's mind-boggling everything-must-go sale, and, of course, *the* SSENSE sale. But none get whispered about among fashion girls quite like Reformation's once-yearly sale, which, as luck would have it, started today.
Every year around this time, Reformation secretly launches a mega round of discounts, with the date and time always changing slightly to surprise the brand's biggest fans. People plan for weeks leading up to it, hoping the items they've been eyeing will get the markdown treatment. Well, I'm here to tell you that it's time to check your shopping carts for 30%-off prices. That, and tell you exactly what it is that you should buy now that red slashes have been dealt out.
To prepare for the annual shopping event, I stopped into SoHo's store ahead of the sale and got a sneak peek at some of what it would eventually include, from floral dresses and sets to tank tops and denim. I even got to try some on. Below, see the items I took into the dressing room with me and shop more of my finds from Reformation's just-launched 30%-off sale.
First up is this gorgeous halter-neck midi dress that's made of white linen and covered in purple-and-green anthurium flowers, the same type that's been blowing up all over the fashion world thanks to Jonathan Anderson's spring Loewe collection. If you're heading on vacation this summer, this is one dress you simply must pack and wear to dinner on night one.

If you're anything like me, your comfort zone sartorially is black, black, and more black. Sadly, that usually means that nothing you want goes on sale, while color and print lovers get all the good deals. Not this time, though, because this perfect black strapless top (which has detachable straps) is, indeed, marked down. Score.
Shop the top:
I've been eyeing this top for weeks, specifically in black. But this color, called Capri, is so beautiful in person that I forgot all about the classic shade. My favorite thing about it (other than the price, of course) is the completely open back. Scroll down to see.

When an LBD as timeless and chic as this one goes on sale, you don't just buy it, you wear it—repeatedly. Whether it's a date night, a cocktail-attire wedding, a work event, or just a day out running errands, this dress will get the job done and then some.
Shop the dress:
As much as I adore all of my light-wash, vintage-style jeans, they're not exactly a formal choice. When I'm going out to a nice dinner or work event, I like to appear a bit more fancy, which you can't really do in those faded styles. Rather, I grab for super dark-wash alts like this on-sale Ref pair instead. That way, you get all the comfort and fit from a pair of great jeans with none of the casual appearance. As for this top, it's made of silk and shockingly stunning—the collar detail and open back especially.
Shop the outfit:
As if the look of this maxi dress wasn't enough, the name of the color will put you over the edge and force you to press purchase. *Drum roll please.* This delicate shade of pink is aptly titled "Babygirl," and makes it extremely on-trend in 2023.
Shop the dress:
From the scallop details to the vintage print, this strapless, linen top has all the makings of an outfit-making wardrobe essential.
