Kristen Bell is a modern-day renaissance woman. From beginning her professional career on Broadway at 20 years old to later starring in roles ranging from critically acclaimed TV series like Veronica Mars and The Good Place to box-office hits like Forgetting Sarah Marshall and the Frozen franchise—not to mention, her most iconic role as the narrator of Gossip Girl—Bell has made a name for herself in Hollywood. While Bell’s acting accomplishments alone exceed expectations, Bell's passions reach beyond the film screen.
Devoted to giving back to the community, Bell has co-founded not one, but two companies with a focused mission in mind. Announced as one of Target’s top five emerging brands, snack bar company This Saves Lives was founded from a desire to end childhood malnutrition by instilling a model where with every purchase made, food is sent to a child in need. Today, the company has grown into a burgeoning company stocked in over 20,000 retailer doors around the country and expanding into Canada. As if that wasn’t impressive enough, just last year Bell and her husband, Dax Shepard, launched Hello Bello, a line of premium yet affordable baby products. Hello Bello has not only established a caring parenting community but also serves to eliminate the hard decision parents are inevitably faced with: what’s good for their baby versus what’s best for their budget. In the company’s first year alone, it donated over one million diapers. It goes without saying that Bell's contagious passion for giving back shines through her companies.
