Sorry, Not Sorry—My Full Tax Return Is Going Toward Sephora's Epic Savings Event
I wait all year for two things—my tax return and Sephora's Spring Savings Event. In a happy coincidence, they typically tend to coincide. I put a portion of my tax return into my savings, but I always like to keep some for myself to splurge a little.
For VIB members like me, April 5 is the time to add your wish list to your Sephora cart. Here's the scoop on the whole sale: From April 1 to April 11, Rouge members get 20% off their purchases. From April 5 to April 11, VIB members will get 15% off. From April 7 to April 11, Insiders will get 10% off. Enter the promo code SAVESPRING at checkout, in-store or online. All Beauty Insiders, regardless of tier, can receive 30% off Sephora Collection products from April 1 to April 11, no promo code needed.
This year, I have my eye on products that I know will come in handy once the weather starts to warm up. I've included new launches that I've tested and know you will love as well as some tried-and-true staples that I will never stop buying. To make things easy for you, I've ordered my wish list from least expensive to most expensive, but with savings applied, none of my picks are over $100. Happy shopping!
People are always asking me what skincare products are good for under $10, and this hyaluronic acid serum would be at the top of my list. It has low-, medium-, and high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, so it plumps the skin's surface while also offering deep hydration.
Any makeup artist or die-hard makeup lover has at least three of these multiuse pencils. Makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes is practically known for her love of the shade Endless Cacao for lining lips. These pencils are easy to apply, long-wearing, and so pigmented and blendable.
Here it is—my holy-grail product. I've talked about the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask before, but I just want to give it all the hype it deserves. It plumps, softens, and smooths lips overnight, and it smells so good.
I've loved nearly every Summer Fridays product I've tried, but this lip balm really takes the cake for me. The tube is big (probably twice the size of a normal lip balm), so it lasts a long time. It deeply moisturizes lips while giving them a glaze-like shine, and it smells heavenly.
If you have read any of my other articles, you know this is my favorite mascara. I cannot think of a better formula. It's tubing, so it creates tons of length; it holds a curl; and it never flakes or smears. I wish I had 20 bottles stockpiled.
You heard it here first. This might be the best Olaplex launch yet. Yes, seriously. This lightweight styling serum tackles pollution, frizz, flyaways, heat, and damage. It's basically a multipurpose hair product, and it makes my hair look professional-level good.
Many, many self-tanning lotions either don't work or leave you splotchy or orange. Every time I've used this body butter, I've been left with a flawless, even-toned golden tan that lasts for days. It's also filled with moisturizing ingredients like coconut oil and avocado oil, so your skin will be hydrated and supple.
Ever since I reviewed this cult-favorite styling oil, I've been smitten. It leaves my hair smooth, flyaway-free, and so shiny.
I am not one for texture sprays. I think they usually leave hair crunchy and waxy. This texture spray is in a league of its own—it zhuzhes up your hair and gives it tons of body and volume while maintaining shine and softness.
The TikTok-famous Dior Lip Glow Oil has been out of stock for quite some time, which bodes badly for me since I'm obsessed with the Cherry color and am almost out of the one I keep in my going-out bag. The brand's Lip Glow, however, is arguably just as good, comes in 12 dreamy shades, nourishes lips, and imparts a sheen of natural-looking color.
Each year before summer, I make it a priority to stock up on Supergoop! Glowscreen. In the summer, I hate layering a bunch of products on my face. The best thing about Glowscreen is that it adds a lit-from-within glow to skin, and you really don't need much on top of it. It's also so protective and easy to reapply.
If I want a little something extra, I'll apply this under my makeup to give myself a real-life IG-filter effect. It blurs while it illuminates.
In my opinion, this is the best time to stock up on some fancier-than-average candles for your home. I burned through this Skylar candle in a week because I constantly had it lit. I just couldn't get enough of the salty, airy, aquatic scent it filled my apartment with. I can only handle some candles for a couple of hours before they start to get overwhelming, but this one is like a breath of fresh air.
This is, without a doubt, one of my favorite body creams of all time. It firms, smooths, and tightens, and it even adds a hint of subtle shimmer, which is perfect for skin-baring warm-weather clothes. Did I mention it smells downright delectable? Vanilla, salted caramel, and pistachio are blended together for a hypnotic scent.
Yes, this TikTok-famous color-correcting treatment really is worth the hype. It's basically like putting a filter over your skin before you apply makeup or leave the house, as it cancels redness and evens skin tone.
Get the cult-favorite foundation that Sydney Sweeney told me is a staple in her makeup routine. This luminous, medium-coverage foundation blurs, evens, and just makes you look airbrushed.
Haven't been able to decide on a Replica fragrance to add to your collection yet? I get it—they're all very different and very good. Grab this set of miniature fragrances for less than the price of one perfume so you can try all of Replica's biggest hits.
Full transparency: I've gone through two jars of this moisturizer, and I never finish most moisturizers. This rich, creamy formula leaves skin incredibly dewy and plump thanks to ingredients like Japanese purple rice, algae, and hyaluronic acid.
This product is my secret weapon for strong, damage-free hair with no split ends. Pop it on after shampooing and leave it in, and you'll be amazed at how your hair transforms.
If you do not already own a high-quality blow-dry brush, this is your sign to get one. Amika's new model fights frizz while giving you incredibly smooth, bouncy hair.
Ellis Brooklyn does it again with its newest launch. This fragrance brand can really do no wrong in my eyes, and just in time for warmer weather, it's releasing a sumptuous scent that reminds me of sticky summer skin and dinner alfresco. Fresh fig is a fragrance note we just don't see enough, IMO—it's sweet without being cloying and has more heft to it than other fruit scents. I guarantee this will be the scent of summer 2022, and it's a good idea to get it during the Savings Event.
Next, Sephora's Spring Savings Event Is Here—I Highly Endorse These Worth-It Splurges
