These Pieces Aren't in Your Closet, but They Should Be
It all started when I came across this piece by Leandra Medine, in which she defends her stance that a “timeless investment” doesn’t necessarily need to be a simple or an under-the-radar item. Through her example of an Osman printed coat that she’s worn (and been photographed in) at least eight times with completely different outfits, she shows us that blank-slate pieces (you know, the items that go with everything) aren’t the only ones to splurge on. As Medine so perfectly exhibits, with some outside-of-the-box styling, any item can be worn countless ways, thus making it “worth the investment.” With this in mind, I decided to round up 15 not-so-simple pieces that, with a little imagination, could totally be worn over and over again.
