The Secret Place I Look for Affordable French Trends
A few years ago, I visited the Other Stories headquarters in Stockholm and was amazed at how much they could churn out from that relatively small office. But as I learned, their Scandi HQ isn't the only place they dream up their designs—they also have ateliers in Los Angeles and Paris.
However, I never noticed until now that you can narrow your search on the site to only show items designed in each city. You can do this via an easy-to-miss dropdown menu called "Designed in." Given our readers' love for all things French style, naturally, I selected "Designed in Paris," and the results did not disappoint. The pieces all have a subtle French vibe that's hard not to love, and almost every item is under $120. Scroll down to shop my favorite pieces from this hidden-in-plain-sight section of Other Stories.
6 Trends From Other Stories' "Designed in Paris" Category
1. High-Neck Tops and Dresses
I love how this dress is styled with loafers and high socks.
This is exactly how to take plaid into spring and summer.
With its midi length and long sleeves, this dress is perfect for winter-to-spring transitional weather.
2. Pastel Sweaters
Don't overlook these adorable heart-shaped buttons.
3. Vests
Vests will be everywhere this year, so you might as well get a head start.
4. Gold Jewelry
Delicate jewelry just feels right for the warmer weather on the horizon.
5. Flared Jeans and Pants
French girls love their flared jeans, so it's no surprise Other Stories included them.
6. Mini Skirts
Next, I'm never giving up cardigans—here's are the lightweight ones I'm into for spring.

Erin got her start as aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing intern over 14 years ago—back when the site only published a single story per day. (Who What Wear has since increased that number twentyfold.) She graduated magna cum laude from USC, which is how she ended up moving to Los Angeles from her hometown of San Diego. In college, she also interned at Refinery29, where she was promoted to editorial assistant and then assistant editor. After nearly three years at R29, she came back to WWW in 2016, where she currently holds the title of Associate Director of Fashion News (as well as the unofficial title of resident royal expert—in case you haven't noticed her numerous Kate and Meghan stories). She spends her days trying to incorporate her idols, Anna Wintour and Roger Federer, into as many stories as possible.
