Kaia Gerber and Cindy Crawford Are Busy Making Birkenstocks and Socks a Thing

It's no surprise that Kaia Gerber loves socks. She's almost singlehandedly making us all want to pull our socks up over our leggings and call it a day. And now we're here to point out another sock styling trick that her mom Cindy Crawford seems to have adopted as well. Both women recently stepped out wearing socks with the ultimate ugly sandals: Birkenstocks. (Kaia on multiple occasions.) Kaia has been wearing fur-lined Birkenstocks with socks around NYC and Crawford just did the same at LAX.

It remains to be seen whether this is an intentional styling choice or if it's just easy and comfortable, but either way, it goes to show that regardless of whether or not something is a "faux pas" (like wearing "ugly" sandals with socks), if that's what you feel comfortable wearing, by all means, follow Kaia and Cindy's leads and just wear it. Or you could always just let a celebrity try it out first.
