Despite the constant headlines that skinny jeans are over, most of us aren't ready to give up on what has become something of a second skin over the past decade. One new jeans trend that is taking over from step hems and raw edges is split-seam jeans, and this includes both flared and skinny styles. Lyst, the global fashion search engine, previously told us that this trend is being led by 3x1, 7 for All Mankind and Grlfrnd (though 7 for All Mankind is its best seller). Last year, Lyst revealed: "The category is new, so we can’t evaluate based on rising popularity, but it is now the second most searched type of jeans behind skinny, with 6000 people searching for this style the week before Coachella." Like most fashion trends, this also has something to do with Bella Hadid, as she is often spotted wearing black 3x1 split-seam jeans.
