Spring's It Handbags Are All Showcasing These Standout Colors

In due time (hopefully sooner than later), puffers and gloves will be packed away into our closets, so let's shift focus to a few spring trends to celebrate the occasion. From oversize clutches to overstuffed carryalls, we've already seen this season's handbags take shape in several forms. But of course, it's not just the silhouettes that we're excited about. The spring runways also had a variety of punchy pigments on both clothing and accessories on the menu. ACNE Studios sent an array of powerful red looks down its runway (with Kylie Jenner sitting front row, wearing the same hue), and Gucci put out a message via its handbags and shoes that shades of oxblood and deep cherry were the ones to take note of this season.
If you're ready to break away from the habit of black and tan handbags, expect to find some excellent options to choose from in this mix. To find out what they are, keep scrolling to read the tones every cool handbag will be showcasing this spring. And as always, you can shop each below.
Whether you call it oxblood, merlot, or burgundy, there's no denying that this moodier shade is quickly taking over. Some were surprised to see it on the spring runways (Bottega Veneta released bags in the hue within the fall collection), but it's clear from designers like Gucci and Versace that there are no rules for color trends, and spring isn't just for pastels.
A true power color, fiery red has already proven its popularity and doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon. The standout color among Ferragamo's S/S 24 collection may have been green, but the fashion set is still hung up on the full-red looks that came down the brand's runway in the season prior. How can you not when that includes the gorgeous item that is the red Hug bag?
Cut the arguments on silver versus gold because in the fashion world, both are winning. Metallics continue to gain traction and despite its "trendier" touch, you'd be surprised at how much a shiny bag will seamlessly go with all your outfits. We like to call it the cool person's neutral.
Mixed in with corporate-inspired looks, a deep mocha brown had a strong presence among the S/S 24 collections. Labels from Loewe to Hermès have embraced this espresso-like brown within their accessory collections.
