I'm a Fashion Editor Who Went to Their First Festival: 3 Makeup Looks I Created

For years, I’ve watched the festival season from the sidelines. Since I’m not into big crowds or walking around for hours at a time, I usually opt out of attending and instead follow along with other people’s experiences on social media. But something came over me this year that made me decide to pack up my cowboy boots and go to Stagecoach. I love country music and couldn’t help but take a stab at creating some iconic festival looks. It also allowed me to get creative with my hair and makeup.
I spent hours scrolling through the Instagram accounts of my favorite makeup artists and scouring Pinterest for all the beauty inspiration I could get. Once I got my makeup looks down, I headed to Jenna Perry Hair in New York to get a blowout using Vegamour hair products, which was by far the best beauty decision I could have made. The blowout held up all three days of the festival and cut my getting ready time way down. I could tell there was a major difference in my hair after using Vegamour's products, you can see how healthy and bouncy my blowout was in the image below.

Festivals are the perfect excuse to have fun with your makeup, so I took full advantage of the opportunity and went with three festival-ready glam looks that I loved.
Keep scrolling to see the makeup looks I went with for Stagecoach 2024 and shop the products I used to get the looks.
Day 1: Southern Belle Soft Glam
I knew that for one of my looks I wanted to go for a soft, Southern Belle inspired makeup look. I started with my go-to base routine using my Nars foundation, which I’ve been using since high school. I then applied my contour with the Makeup by Mario Soft Sculpt Shaping Stick, which has quickly become one of my favorite products of 2024. To achieve the soft and sweet makeup look I was going for, I decided on peachy flushed cheeks, so I used a Patrick Ta blush as a base. I layered it with Makeup by Mario’s Soft Pop Blush Sick and topped off with Rare Beauty’s Positive Light Silky Touch Highlighter. I often use three blush and highlighter products together when I want my cheeks to be the stars of the show. For my eyes, I went for a more soft-matte eye look and long but natural-looking lashes courtesy of Gucci Beauty’s L’obscur Lengthening Mascara. I topped it all off with a simple pink glossy lip.
Day 2: Glam Cowgirl
As soon as I decided to go to Stagecoach, I knew that I wanted to do a glam rockstar cowgirl makeup look for the first day of the festival. This meant getting my hands on the right glittery eye shadow to create the eye looks I desired. I’ve been loving everything from Victoria Beckham Beauty and recently ordered its Lid Luster, a crystal-infused pressed eye shadow meant for glamorous and dramatic eye looks. I used the shade Velvet for my look above and have to admit that this is one of the most pigmented shadows I’ve ever used. My makeup would not have looked nearly as good without it. For eyeliner, I used Rare Beauty’s liquid liner, which is a fan favorite for a reason. (And no, it didn’t budge for the entire day.)
Day 3: Bronzy Western Glam
For day three of Stagecoach, I went with a makeup look I’d done several times before. I’m a sucker for a bronzy makeup look, and since I have brown eyes and darker features, I’ve found myself reaching for Huda Beauty’s Nude Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette quite often. In fact, I used this mini palette to achieve the look above. For my lips, I went with a mauve-rose glossy lip using Refy’s lipgloss in the shade Rosewood.
