It seems as if over the past few months, a number of fashion-themed Instagram accounts have really taken off. First with @diet_prada, then the Harry Potter/Dior runway account @gryffindior. Fashion fanatics are branching out from standard #OOTDs and getting a little more creative on Instagram.
Our recent favourite? An account directed to fashion stylists around the world, @stressedstylist. In the style of @thefatjewish’s viral Instagram posts, @stressedstylist pairs popular memes and iconic images with stylist-centric captions.
Whether you work in the fashion industry or not, the images are admittedly hilarious. They also give us a pretty good insight into what it’s really like to be a professional stylist, which is an undeniably essential (though often overlooked) position.
From jokes about early morning photo shoots, to the difficulty in explaining your career choice to your grandparents, @stressedstylist makes us laugh, while calling to attention that no matter how glamorous the job may seem, stylists still face challenges just like the rest of us.
