Jennifer Aniston Found the Best Summer Trend to Wear With Ankle Boots

If ankle boots are your favorite shoe style, summer can be a difficult time. The items that are typically worn with them don't really belong in a summer wardrobe (sweaters, denim, coats, etc.). But if sandals aren't your thing, or you just need a break from them (valid), you might want to make note of Jennifer Aniston's recent outfit yesterday in Los Angeles. Aniston was photographed leaving Jimmy Kimmel wearing not her longtime summer shoe of choice (flip-flops, see the proof) but her fall shoe of choice—you guessed it, ankle boots.

So how did Aniston make ankle boots work in late May? By pairing them with a summer trend that's more warm weather-appropriate than jeans: utility pants. Utility and cargo pants have become a major trend this season, and like Aniston did with her pants and boots, fashion girls have taken to wearing them with heels to dress them up. To give the black-and-white outfit an even more polished feel, Aniston added a blazer and Chanel bag. Consider this the answer to making ankle boots summer-appropriate.
