My Summer Jewelry Obsession Is Raging—The Statement Pieces Upgrading My Outfits
With the influx of big jewelry moments happening right now, it would be fair to consider it the summer's main character. And accordingly, my jewelry collection has followed suit. My burgeoning assortment of pieces can be divided into two categories: classic and sleek jewelry made mainly of metal that I wear throughout the year and my summer jewelry. Pieces that fall into the latter are much more exuberant and kitschy than the usual hoops or snake chains I'd wear during any other season. The colors get brighter, the silhouettes get bolder, and the pieces are anything but dainty. June, July, and August are when these fun-loving pieces really get to shine.
Several key jewelry trends contribute to this aesthetic, from shell pieces and colorful glass to baroque pearls, but overall, I'd call it summer jewelry. I'm highlighting 30 finds that embody this free-spirited beachy vibe. In the below edit, you'll find everything from stacked sea shell chokers to floral statement earrings and beaded baubles that are ideal for wearing on vacation, to the beach, or simply layering on with your favorite summer dresses.
My immediate thought was to style these with jeans, but honestly, these earrings would look dazzling with anything.
Maybe it's because I just went to Paris, but these remind me of chic little gold escargot.
The Brooklyn-based brand Julietta is helping define the current meaning of summer jewelry. Every piece is handmade and gloriously stunning.
Anthropologie's jewelry selection has been nuts lately in the best way possible.
The Simon Miller x Mango collab is the collaboration of the summer.
Even when the days of beach trips and iced coffee are over, these earrings will still be relevant.
Cano does gold like no other. These earrings are a yellow-toned shade of gold that glows in the summer sun.
Jewelry presents an opportunity to experiment with styles you'd never thought you'd try, like these kitschy seahorse earrings.
Chunky bracelets are becoming one of my primary buys. They really dress up an outfit in a way that's effortlessly cool.
There's something very "summer in Majorca" about this bracelet.
This necklace embodies the joy of summer jewelry with minimal tones.
The cool girls have spoken: Jacquemus's gloopy gold chokers are a hit.
I have these in black and am sprinting to get the other colors.
Every piece Lizzie Fortunato releases immediately goes into my cart.
If you're working with a bigger budget, this is the pair I recommend.
Style this with a simple tube top and linen pants for an easy beach vibe.
