20 Skirts That Look Good With Just a Plain T-Shirt
Can you think of an easier summer outfit idea than a T-shirt and skirt? We cannot, so we're doing a story about it. We're guessing that you already own plenty of plain T-shirts, so the focus here is on the bottom half. Truth be told, most skirts go with T-shirts, but there are some styles that are just superior.
Since spring hasn't exactly been filled with the vacations and alfresco meals we were all looking forward to, it's time to jump ahead and think about what to wear this summer, when we can hopefully safely venture out a little more. We have a strong hunch that everyone will continue to prioritize comfort but may want to shed the sweatsuits in favor of something a little breezier. Know where we're going with this? The perfect outfit to transition to is a T-shirt and skirt. Below, you'll find 20 excellent skirts to wear with tees, divided into five categories for easy navigating. (For the record, we're not opposed in the least to wearing a skirt and T-shirt at home right now, either.)
Button-Front Skirts
Casual, classic button-front skirts are one of our favorites to pair with oversize T-shirts. Aimee Song's outfit is excellent proof of this. Dress the look up with strappy sandals as she did or down with sneakers or slides.

Slip Skirts
As far as summer staples go, slip skirts are at the top of the list. If you don't want to think about what you're going to wear, pair it with a tee and call it a day.

Miniskirts
If worn with the wrong thing, a miniskirt can feel a bit off, but you really can't go wrong with a T-shirt. It provides a nice balance and makes the skirt you may typically wear for a night out daytime appropriate.

Denim Skirts
Anything denim and a T-shirt go hand in hand, so you're probably not surprised that this includes denim skirts. If you always wear jeans in the cooler months, consider this the perfect swap.

Pleated Midi Skirts
Pleated midi skirts can be quite sophisticated, but if you wear one with a T-shirt, they're decidedly cool. Pro tip: Go with a fitted tee to counter the extra fabric of a pleated skirt.
