These 6 Summer Basics Are So Good, I'm Taking Them With Me Into Fall
While fall is the season I usually treat myself to a few more purchases than usual (It's my favorite time of the year), I still like to always take a look at my closet and see what I can bring from the previous season to the next before I pull out my credit card. Summer dressing is always a bit more challenging for me but my collection of basics has made it much easier, so I'm bringing them with me into the fall. I'll just be adding a few more layers to bring them up to speed
While I'll be making sure to pull out staple pieces like chunky cardigans or leather jackets, you'll still catch me wearing my breezy button-downs and slip dresses. They've been the foundation of my wardrobe, so I know they'll do the same for you. Keep scrolling to see what other summer basics I'm taking with me to fall and how I'll be styling them differently.
Button Downs
I've been relying on my breezy-button downs all summer, and I just know they're going to my #1 essential in the fall, too. I plan on tucking them into jeans and layering them underneath blazers or leather jackets for a clean yet cool look.
Puddle Pants
Puddle pants have been aBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing favorite—we just can't get enough of the slouchy and relaxed look. Instead of wearing them with corsets or lightweight tank tops, I'm envisioning them with chunky sweaters and long coats this upcoming season.
Vests
While I love how the fashion set has been wearing vests as a top, I like them even better layered. With the right accessories, you can take the vest from business-casual to street-style ready.
Slip Dresses
Slip-dresses make for an easy and chic outfit, but with a few additions you can take the style into the chilly weather. Try layering tops underneath or over, and instead of pretty sandals, wear tall boots. There are a lot of options to work with.
Linen Pants
I like to call Linen a summer fabric, but considering fall doesn't bring in freezing temperatures, the comfortable style can easily be brought over. I've loved seeing them paired with oversized sweaters and coats—combining casual and chic elements in one perfect ensemble.
Long Skirts
Skirts are my go-to summer staple, so it didn't make sense that they collected dust in the fall. I don't want to buy a whole new set of skirts for the new season, so I'll be wearing them in the coming months with just a few styling updates. Think a ribbed sweater or long trench coats on top, tights underneath, and finishing the look off with heeled boots.
