Teen Vogue and Coach Are Hosting a Female Empowerment Festival in NYC
What are your plans for this upcoming Sunday, March 11? If you're free, then we suggest you pencil in this very special event we're about to tell you about. Teen Vogue and Coach have joined forces with Gurls Talk to bring to life a Gurls Talk Festival in New York City—a day-long female empowerment event that will cover everything from sexual health to mental health (and much, much more).
The Gurls Talk organization is a platform founded by model-activist Adwoa Aboah that offers young women a safe space to openly talk about their experiences and discuss "what it means to be a girl in the 21st century," per the website.
The Gurls Talk Festival will, much like its online platform, provide attendees with a safe, inspiring space to be heard, to listen, and to participate. The event, which will be hosted by Aboah herself, is slated to begin at 10 a.m. and will run until 6 p.m at Industry City in Brooklyn, New York. It's free and open to the public—just make sure to RSVP today to secure your spot for Sunday. Read on to see the official event flyer below.
