There weren't many fashion insiders who didn't breathe a sigh of relief when they found out that the puffer coat, aka the world's cosiest coat, was having a moment in the spotlight last winter, as it was exactly what we needed for our chilly rotations of the local park. Within the world of puffers, Totême's black quilted coat was probably one of the highest-profile iterations, spotted multiple times on Trend-Maker in Chief Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

It's clear that our communal craving for cosiness has remained for autumn 2021, as the brand has just re-released its sellout coat, and of course, it's looking as good as ever. With an oversized fit, light-yet-insulating quilted fabric (which is also recycled, FYI) and dramatic wide lapel, this is the perfect style to throw over both light layers in September and heavier knits when the mercury drops.

Yes, the price tag does sit at a hefty £500, but if you're in the market for an investment designer coat, you won't find a much better cost per wear than you will with this winter hero.
