Trust Me—Buy These 11 Tops
Hey, it’s Nicole here (again)! Hope you’re not sick of me by now because something was telling me that it’s a great time for a @trustmebuythis-inspired shopping roundup. From my favorite tee right now to the trendy summer shirt I can’t get enough of, today we’re putting a special spin on the Trust Me—Buy This series and making it all about tops—because, honestly, can we ever have enough of them? If, like me, your search for tops feels like a never-ending quest, simply continue on to see the ones that are in my closet right now, read about what makes each so great, and of course, shop them.
I’ve worn this tropical shirt more times in recent weeks than I’d like to admit. It’s just so easy to throw on with any pair of jeans and shoes day or night and makes you feel instantly summer-ready.

You know those brands that literally only make cool pieces? That’s LPA. Whether it’s the above (which is, not surprisingly, sold out), a similar style crop top, or one of its many dresses, no matter what you opt for, if LPA made it, you know you’ll look good.

I feel like every time I’m getting ready for an event and have no idea what to wear, I’m able to think of a new way to style this top by Area. Whether it’s with jeans, tucked into trousers, or over a miniskirt with a belt like below, it’s surprisingly one of the most versatile pieces I own.

Few things make me happier than finding an amazing and affordable everyday top from Zara. This lilac one from last season is sadly sold out, but I highly suggest opting for one of the many similar styles on the site before those are gone too.

I captioned this photo with the line “Thanks, it’s Reformation” because, within an hour of wearing it, I received at least 10 compliments and had to repeat the phrase over and over again. Safe to say it was a good buy.

If you’re looking for something in the “going out” category, this is definitely it. Plus, just the fact that I.AM.GIA is now available on Shopbop feels worthy of a celebratory purchase to me.

Despite buying this Nanusha top on an Instagram-induced whim months ago, I’ve surprisingly gotten more use (and compliments) out of it than most other things I own. Something about the brand’s unique color and silhouettes is just unlike anything else out there right now. For next season, I’m strongly eyeing the below.

As the most inactive and unsporty person on the planet, I found quite a bit of joy in the irony of me wearing this tee. However, for just $35, it’s becoming one of my favorite T-shirts thanks to the subtle yet beautifully colored logo and boxy fit. Pro tip: It runs about one size large.

Leave it to Ganni to make cropped tops feel actually fashiony. I love the light material and contrast-colored smocking on this one because it makes it feel daytime appropriate as well as cool for night time.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Everyone who doesn’t already own this flattering Reformation top really should. It’s the perfect cross between classic and trendy and pairs perfectly with jeans.

Australia-based brand Posse has perfected the summer top in every aspect from cut to color to fabric. You pretty much can’t go wrong with anything they make.
