I'm a Fashion Editor in My 20’s, and I Wear These 6 Simple Outfits on Repeat

When outfit building, a common misconception is that a great look has to be complicated or take forever to put together. But that’s just not the case—simple, easy to put together outfits are actually some of my favorites and if I’m being honest the most important thing about getting dressed is making sure you feel comfortable and confident.

As a fashion editor in my 20s, I have a love affair with my closet and putting together outfits. When I’m planning for something easy to wear that I can put on without having to think twice, six simple outfits come to mind. Low-rise jeans with corset tops, midi dresses and sneakers, blazers and jeans, mini skirts with simple tops, bra tops under layers, and cargo pants with tank tops.

These looks are fool-proof, I can wear them on rotation from coffee meetings, to lunch dates, to the farmers market, or even to date night. I’m planning on wearing all six of these outfit ideas all spring and summer long, keep scrolling to see what I’m shopping to achieve these looks.

This combo is my go-to look for a night out to dinner or drinks with friends. Corset tops are trending in a big way, and I see this trend sticking around through spring-summer 2022.

Midi Dresses + Flats or Sneakers

A look I’ll be wearing forever if I’m being honest. I don’t think I love any outfit more than a classic midi-dress and-sneakers look, I feel romantic and chic in the dress while enjoying the comfort of a sneaker. I wear this look all spring and summer long.

Blazers + Jeans

A classic look that you can never go wrong with. Perfect for a lunch date or going from the office to happy hour.

Mini Skirts + Simple Tops

This summer will be the summer of the mini/micro skirts. They are so youthful and fun, I love to style them with a loose tank or bodysuit.

Bra-Top Under Layers

This is the ultimate cool-girl/model-off-duty look. Style a knit or cotton bra top with a dress shirt and blazer look or other layers of your choice to make an effortlessly chic look.

Cargo Pants + Tank Tops

Cargo pants are everywhere right now, and I’m embracing the trend full force. I love to style with a classic tank, layered jewelry, and sneakers or flat sandals.
