"Want to tone down the theatrics of a lace dress?" The Edit writes. "Then ground it with something a little more sturdy, like a black ankle boot that’s part pilgrim, part witch (in the best possible way)." The hallmarks of the boots: Victorian-inspired buttons or lacing and, in some cases, avant-garde curved heels. If you want to get in on the trend, Net-a-Porter has a whopping 33 different styles under the Victoriana boots category—here, we've narrowed them down to our favorite five pairs.
