Stylish Parents From Tokyo to Paris Share Their Daily Uniforms That Work

What Moms Wear captures the outfits, style, and process of getting dressed among stylish moms in the chicest cities around the world. From school drop-offs to dressing for work and moms' night out, we profile fashion-forward women—with young kids and cool jobs—and share where they love to go, what they like to do, and what they wear in their cities.
I am the mom at school pickup who's always checking out what other parents are wearing. Blame it on the fashion editor in me, but I've always been curious about the brands, style choices, and aesthetics multitasking mothers (and fathers!) gravitate toward. What's even more interesting to me is how our outfits differ depending on where we live and what we do. While ALO leggings, Donni pants, and Birkenstock clogs seem to reign supreme at my kids' school in Santa Monica, my guess is the brands and personal outfit preferences at school drop-off in, say, Madrid or Tokyo are majorly different.
This curiosity is exactly what has inspired our latest series, What Moms Wear. Every month, we'll be highlighting stylish mothers in different cities with interesting jobs—in fashion and beyond—as they share their approach to dressing and give us an insider's look into their favorite spots around their city. Whether it's a cool coffee spot they love to go to after school drop-off, a fun activity they do with their kids, or their go-to place for a date night, consider this a space to get inspired by incredible parents, places, and outfits.
To kick off our newly launched Parents Issue today, I'm excited to highlight four incredibly chic moms living in L.A., London, Paris, and Tokyo who I've followed and admired for the longest time—and have the coolest jobs and inspiring style. Keep scrolling to get to know these amazing moms and their insider city recommendations below.

Whether she's sporting a silky lace dress with the Dôen sisters in Paris, sharing a real and raw personal story while doing her skincare routine at home, or hosting a glamorous dinner party in her dreamy backyard, her Instagram, @piaboroncini, is an absolute delight to follow. She lives in her childhood home in Pasadena, California, with her two kids and husband.
"I love a baby-doll Dôen dress for a date night with Davide at Houston's. We don't go anywhere else."
"Here I am wearing vintage Levi's and my LPA top for a podcast recording. Since that's in West Hollywood, I'll try to fit in a work lunch too, either at Cipriani or I'll grab a chicken Caesar wrap from Ggiata."
"I love throwing on an oversize Ralph Lauren polo top for drop-off. It's usually an outfit I don't need to think about."
"I recently hosted a dinner with Goop Kitchen, and everyone came in LPA. It was a really perfect night."

"Out and about at meetings and fashion presentations during the busy month of September in Paris. This calls for a Polo Ralph Lauren Canadian tuxedo and tie—my version of workwear! My 'canteen' at lunch hour (how Parisians refer to their regular, casual haunt) is Bar de La Croix Rouge in my neighborhood, the 6th. I always order the Tartine St-Germain with a lentil salad on the side."
"Here I am at home getting ready for a night out. Naturally I am wearing socks with my Emme Parsons shoes—very important for warmth when it gets cooler at night—and for comfort while dancing! (My dress is Mango). We love going for a cocktail at Experimental Hotel in the Marais—they have great martinis—and then onto dinner at their restaurant Temple Chapon if we’re feeling indulgent."
"This is what I wear to drop off the kids when I’m going straight to work after. Basically, relaxed J.Crew jeans and a Matteau T-shirt. But I’ll throw on the Camilla and Marc trench and (laptop-fitting) Le Tanneur bag over top to smarten the whole thing up. If I have time to come home and get ready between school drop-off and work, I’ll wear a more casual jacket or vintage sweatshirt over that same look, and probably Alohas sneakers. I always grab a cappuccino from my coffee stand Café Nuances after drop-off. Oh, and if you’re looking to sit down for great coffee, I recommend Ten Belles on rue du Cherche Midi—delicious!"
"On my way out to meetings then a cocktail party on a chilly day. Leather gloves are a go-to for me when the temperature drops. (Plus, they add a timeless edge—and keep your hands clean in the metro!) My burgundy leather jacket is from Baba by Tasha. I love a fancy jacket to dress up a casual pair of jeans.”
"The perfect relaxed weekend with my kids in the French countryside. This look is by Sézane, except the cardigan, which is Dôen.”

"I love this relaxed look, perfect for a casual coffee catch-up with friends. My favorite spot at the moment is Abuelo. Not only do they serve amazing coffee, but the food and interiors are just as impressive."
"I wore this to Arlington for lunch with a friend. (I highly recommend the duck salad!) The pale-yellow coat is such a great muted tone. It pairs effortlessly with so many pieces in my wardrobe. When the weather gets cooler, I’ll swap the flip-flops for white loafers."
"This is such a versatile outfit. It works perfectly for lunch, relaxed meetings, or even the school run. If you’re not quite ready to embrace the full leopard look, you can easily tone it down by swapping the shoes for classic black loafers, ballet flats, or minimalist sneakers."
"This is one of my favorite outfits I’ve worn this year. It’s so simple, but the structured top and unexpected accessories really elevate the look. I’ve actually repeated it a few times for different occasions, including dinner at one of my favorite spots, Zephyr in Notting Hill"
"A blazer paired with a white T-shirt or button-down and jeans is my fail-safe uniform. It’s the most versatile base, perfect with flats and a workbag for breakfast meetings or errands during the day and easily elevated with heels and a clutch or mini bag for the evening."

"I love a colorful, happy outfit once in a while with lots of accessories. I wore this for a casual day out with my daughter. We'll often get go for an açaí bowl at Cosmos Juice Tomigaya."
"A casual and cool outfit for a family walk to the supermarket."
"Here's what I'm wearing to go to a Korean shoe brand’s launch party with my daughter. This look is easy and fun."
"An outfit for vintage shopping in the Shimokitazawa neighborhood—one of my favorite areas to look for cool vintage finds."
"A trip to the hair salon in an oversize tee, skirt, and sneakers. Double Sons is my favorite place to get my hair cut, and I usually go for a spiky '90s vibe."
