Despite my on-going quest to achieve ridiculously soft skin, I've never quite had the same sort of relationship with my body lotion as I do with my face creams—meaning I'm not as strict about slathering myself with it every single day. If you're not familiar, Dr. Woo is one of the most in-demand tattoo artists in the industry. Having tattooed a wide range of skin tones and textures, Woo has a unique perspective on the various needs of every kind of skin. He also has sensitive skin, as does his wife, and had been on a mission to find a product they both can use. Instead of endlessly searching for one, he created his own and launched a simple line of essentials—like soap and moisturizers—that are consciously crafted in small batches for inked and non-inked skin.

With all of that in mind, I had really high hopes for the moisturizer, and it did not disappoint. For starters, the all-black packaging is seriously chic. How effective a product is will always be the bottom line, sure, but it doesn't hurt when it also looks good displayed on your vanity. It's also incredibly lightweight, absorbs insanely fast (even after using it right out of the shower), never leaves my skin feeling wet or sticky, and has no scent whatsoever—a major plus in my book. The Color Lift Technology is powered by papain enzymes, which work to gently dissolve and remove dead skin cells. It's made with other good-for-you ingredients like green tea extract, which acts as a potent antioxidant that protects skin from environmental pollutants and has anti-aging properties; ceramides, which basically lock hydration into the skin; and vitamin E, which helps fight free radicals, promoting skin healing and softening. Soft (like really soft) and hydrated is how my skin has felt since I started using it just over a week ago. I can only imagine what a few more weeks will do.
