I'm Losing It Over Zara's Autumn Drop—Here Are the 7 Key Items I'll Buy

From my experience of working in fashion, I find that certain high-street stores are good for certain things. For example, I can always rely on Uniqlo for basics, Marks Spencer for shoes and Topshop for denim. There are also some stores that always seem to ace particular seasons, and as a self-declared cold-weather style obsessive, I have to say that Zara gets autumn/winter right every time.

I've lost count of the number of items I've emailed myself whilst researching articles this month (I am working, I promise), and every new drop delivers yet another enviable buy to add to my ever-growing list. And we're not just talking coats and jumpers—we mean midi dresses, party sequins and cute collared blouses. Essentially, you could happily build a whole wardrobe from the retailer's autumn collection.

If I had to whittle my favourites down, I'd call out Zara's oversized coats (particularly the houndstooth style, which will add a little '80s drama to your winter staples). I also have a serious soft spot for the limited-edition fringed jacket, which fulfils all my Wild West style aspirations. I'm also more than happy to throw on one of Zara's sellout smock dresses with knee-high boots and roll-neck when I need instant polish with minimum thought. Like the sound of that?
