Meet the Zara Models You See More Than Your Friends

Here atBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing , we spend so much time on Zara’s website (it’s what we like to call “workshopping”) that the models start to feel like old friends. We know their signature poses and whether or not they like to smile, and we are quick to notice any changes in their hair length or color. And, truth be told, we even get a little sad when Zara rotates in a new group, as it recently did.

Luckily, there are a few standbys. But when it comes to who these women really are, we’re less educated—after all, there’s virtually no information about them on the site. As such, we decided to do a little digging to identify the models we tend to see more than our actual friends. And we’re not going to lie—it wasn’t easy! Most of the faces Zara uses remain a mystery to us, but we did manage to pinpoint five of our favorites.

Discovered at the wee age of 13, Rollinson quickly shot to fame a few years later, when she fronted a Burberry campaign shot by Mario Testino. Since then, the 20-year-old British beauty has been in campaigns for heavyweights like Isabel Marant and DKNY and is a frequent sight on the Chanel runways. Her haircut—a cooler spin on the traditional bob—has even been dubbed “the Sam.” Now that’s how you know you’ve made it.

Newman is best known for her close friendship with Cara Delevingne, as the two regularly post silly selfies together and refer to each other as Peanut (Cara) and Pickle (Kai). Although she’s relatively new on the scene, she’s already walked big-name runways like Burberry Prorsum, DVF, and Valentino Haute Couture and has starred in campaigns for Kenneth Cole and River Island. We have a hunch that this is only the beginning for her.

Swedish model Gustafsson was discovered while on summer vacation, casually hanging out in a Stockholm café. As one of the more frequently used models on Zara's website, Gustafsson was also selected to star in the chain’s ’70s-inspired Fall 2015 lookbook, which is not always a given. Although she doesn’t have much other work to her name yet, she has graced the cover of Elle Sweden, and we have a feeling there’s a lot more where that came from.

The beautiful Gigi Jeon is probably the first face you picture when you think of Zara models—she’s so ubiquitous with the brand that she’s kept a relatively low profile otherwise. Hailing from Korea but currently living in London, Jeon has also done work for COS, The Body Shop, and a slew of international brands. Although runway isn’t her focus, she has made brief appearances on the catwalks of Louis Vuitton and Simone Rocha. All we have to say is more, please!

Koponen hails from Finland, where she was first discovered on the reality TV show Mallikoulu—essentially the Finnish version of America’s Next Top Model. She quickly rose to fashion fame, booking campaigns with seemingly everyone (Gucci, Vince, and Stella McCartney, to name a few) and walking in top-tier runway shows like Versace Haute Couture and Alexander Wang. Koponen has numerous tattoos, including a “5” on her back, representing the number of people in her family, and the word “Cat” on her right hand, in honor of her model best friend, Catherine McNeil.
