Zara Just Launched Its Most Expensive-Looking Collection to Date

Zara is often considered one of those high-street brands that is best for trend-led pieces. However, among the neon, organza and shouty prints this season, you'll find plenty of simple pieces for those who favour a more minimal aesthetic. Zara just launched an edit called the Timeless Collection, which is perfect for those who are from the Phoebe Philo school of dressing. This collection is all about easy layering, tonal colours and expensive-looking basics, which can be all blended together to form an elevated summer capsule. This is Zara's answer to Old Céline—and we're into it.
Linen is one of the core fabrics of the collection, with beautiful, relaxed tailoring in oatmeal, grey and stone colours. Other standout pieces include oversized knitwear, with ankle-length cardigans and knitted midi dresses in soft brown colours. Vest tops, high-waisted trousers, strappy flat sandals and knotted oversized blouses are also hero basics at Zara this summer.
The styling in the pictures is particularly strong, with lots of innovative ideas for how to wear these basics, which proves that minimalism can be the opposite of boring. The most expensive-looking combinations include the white tunic top layered over wide-leg trousers (as seen below) and drawstring linen trousers paired with a white boxy shirt and black leather sandals. The perfect weekend look, whether you spend your Sundays on the sofa or out and about.
Zara Asymmetric Top With Top (£40)
Zara Knotted Blouse (£30)
Zara Linen Trousers (£30)
Zara Pleated Skirt (£26)
