This Is What You'll Be Wearing in Winter 2017

Winter is advancing on us, ladies. Soon, the brisk autumn mornings will be a distant memory, and we’ll be reaching for ankle boots (like the ones these celebs have been wearing) over open-toe slides. How’d that happen so fast? Rather than commiserate we see the changing of the seasons as a new opportunity where you can have a re-think about what you want your winter fashion vibes to be. A few editors in our team like to create a new Pinterest board each season with international street style images, work out which trends they’d like to invest in, and then make a short list of what they need to buy. Another alternative is to trawl through your favourite international fashion people on Instagram (it has to be international so you’re looking at the right season), and bookmark direct to the ‘gram.

You might’ve seen a few of these pop up throughout the last few months, but they’re only going to gain further traction from here, so jump on board before it’s too late.

Oh yes, it's back. Think pops of neon, exaggerated shoulders and body-con shapes. We're loving the way it feels a bit more polished and sophisticated. How? It's all about '80s shapes, in luxe fabrics.

Patent leather was all over the A/W 16-17 runways, with pieces from shoes to pants to skirts and coats taking centre stage. The key is to ensure your hi-shine piece is the hero of your look. If you're scared to dip your toe into this head-turning trend, start with shoes and work your way up.
