I'm Planning My Coziest and Chicest Winter Ever—Here's My Lineup of Home and Beauty Staples
It's cozy season, and I'm switching up everything from my beauty routine to the items I have around my house. After all, the colder months bring dry, dull skin and, sometimes, seasonal unhappiness, so why not combat this by adding a few new items that spark joy to the mix? I find myself gravitating toward a cozy plush blanket, aromatherapy oils, candles, fluffy slippers, and just a really good hand or body cream.
If hibernation is on your agenda, too, this winter, you're going to want to keep scrolling. Below, I'm sharing my winter mood board full of cozy and chic items that will give your skin and home some much-needed TLC.
The fresh, crisp, wintry scent of Big Sur After Rain is one I crave come winter. The candle is an absolute stunner, but I love buying myself a little something *luxury* in the form of this hand wash. Expect notes of eucalyptus leaf and magnolia for a fresh "mountain air" scent.
Sacred space sprays are a must for me, especially during the winter when I tend to keep my windows closed. You can think of this spray as a natural air purifier, as palo santo cleanses the energy in your space. It features only sustainably sourced palo santo and smells deliciously rich and woody for the season.
Everything celebrity aesthetician Sofie Pavitt does is absolute gold to me, and this candle is no different. I've been burning this nonstop because it's fresh and cozy at the same time with notes of yuzu, rhubarb, rose water, blonde woods, and neroli. It really does smell like a luxurious spa or facialist's studio, making it the perfect companion for at-home facials.
I'd need a whole separate article to wax poetic about how much I love Lola Blankets. The plush, nontoxic faux fur is unbelievably soft—perfect to snuggle up in during the winter. I have my eye on this gorgeous ocean blue next. If you want one, it's best to act quickly. These blankets are a hot commodity and sell out in the blink of an eye.
My obsession with Mooncat nail lacquers is already out of control, and it's ramping up even more now because the brand has so many winter-ready shades. This ghostly, sparkling best seller from the brand is so beautiful, and I can't wait for my next salon appointment to try it out.
I got a facial recently at Formula Fig, and my facialist used this oil on my skin during the treatment. I immediately fell in love. It's packed with fermented Korean ingredients that provide so many benefits to the skin, but mostly, it's amazing for winter hydration. I immediately asked her what it was because it smelled so good, but even after I left the facial, my skin stayed hydrated the rest of the day without me having to put on anything else.
I'm a dedicated bath-taker year-round, but winter is peak soak season, and I like to pull out all the stops. LilFox is one of the chicest beauty brands on the market IMO and has so many incredible bath soaks. This luxury ritual set includes two of my favorites: Roman Eucalipto and Adriatic Temple. The brand is known for its out-of-this-world aromatherapy blends, and these soaks are a feast for the senses. This set also comes with a face mask and body oil, plus a guided meditation with auric aesthetician Mikaela MacLean. If you're looking to treat yourself this cozy season, there's no better way to do so.
I love Belnu's suite of clean fragrances, and Chai Fleur is one of my top scents for winter. Expect deliciously layered notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, green cardamom, lavender, cistus, violet, vanilla bean, cedarwood, and vanilla. It's definitely a gourmand scent but has a really beautiful and unique undertone to it with the notes of violet and cardamom added in.
Listen, I try a lot of body butters because it's part of my job description, but every time, without fail, I come back to this one. It's so creamy and hydrating on the skin that it always keeps me coming back for more, especially during the winter. To say I'm obsessed is an understatement. Plus, it contains no synthetic fragrance, which always blows my mind considering how delicious every scent smells. Golden Hour is my personal favorite, but Vanilla Vibezzz is a close second.
There is nothing I love more than a fresh planner for the new year, especially one that also incorporates the lunar calendar. I'm big on my woo-woo rituals and use the lunar calendar to plan when to do them. This spiral planner has so much space and contains beautiful art on the inside pages.
