Whenever I need a good full-body detox, there's no one I trust more than Flavia Lanini. With her long list of A list celebrity clientele (including Dua Lipa, Shay Mitchell, and Lizzo) and cult-loved sculpting massage treatment called The Effect, it's easy to see that she has bodycare down to a science. The Effect is *the* treatment celebs opt for before a major red carpet event because it magically sculpts, contours, de-puffs, and tones the body to perfection.
I've had the privilege of receiving a few treatments from her myself and I was immediately hooked. Of course, that led me to want to learn everything about the Brazilian native, starting with how she learned her legendary massage techniques. "My love for beauty began in healthcare," she says. "I studied at the College of Aesthetics and worked closely with patients recovering from surgery, as well as those living with diabetes, cancer, and other chronic conditions. This experience gave me a deep understanding of the body and its healing process. Over time, I realized how deeply beauty and wellness are connected. True beauty starts from within, and when someone feels good, it naturally radiates outward. That's when I shifted my focus to holistic aesthetics, and I’ve never looked back."
Her most famous treatment The Effect is a lymphatic drainage massage that produces serious results. The first time I got the treatment, I noticed an immediate detox effect which is rare for me—I knew it was definitely doing what it needed to. Lanini explains, "The Effect massage was born out of a desire to go beyond aesthetic results. I wanted to create something that would help people genuinely feel better in their bodies. After years of studying lymphatic therapy, post-surgical care, and working alongside top doctors in Brazil, I developed a method that supports the immune system, reduces inflammation, and naturally sculpts the body. It's more than a treatment—it's a full-body reset that delivers both internal and external results.
To say I'm obsessed is an understatement. I personally see Lanini whenever I can for her Detox Effect massage which is basically The Effect on steroids. She took time out of her busy schedule to give me the tea on her 15 most-used and -loved beauty products. Keep reading for all her favorites.
"This is my signature tea blend I created to help reduce bloating, support digestion, and gently detox the body. It’s an essential part of my personal wellness routine and something I always recommend to my clients. I drink it daily to keep my system balanced and my body feeling light and energized, especially when I’m traveling or working long days."
"I love using the Nativa Spa Acerola Cherry Serum followed by the oil. The serum deeply hydrates and preps the skin, and the oil locks it all in, leaving a healthy glow. Both are super lightweight and made with natural, high-quality ingredients. Hydration is key and this combo is perfect for everyday skin care."
"My favorite blush is the Patrick Ta Major Headlines Cream Powder Duo. The secret? I apply the powder first, then the cream on top it gives the cheeks a fresh, dewy glow that lasts all day. It’s the perfect natural flush with a pro finish."
