I Tried the Perfume Brand Loved by Rosie HW and I Received 10 Compliments Within an Hour
Maison Crivelli Tubéreuse Astrale's might be my most-complimented perfume yet. Find out why editors and celebrities can't get enough of this scent.
At ourBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing Next in Beauty Awards 2025 ceremony just a couple of days ago, I had the tricky decision of choosing what perfume to wear as I was getting ready. And as a perfume-obsessed beauty editor, it's like trying to choose your favourite child. So, I reached for one of my favourite evening fragrances of all time, Maison Crivelli Tubérose Astrale (£205). And let me tell you, as our guests and judges arrived, I was inundated with compliments on my scent. "What perfume are you wearing?", "You smell amazing, by the way", and my favourite: "You smell expensive." Within an hour, I'd received at least 10 compliments on the scent.
Maison Crivelli Tubéreuse Astrale Extrait De Parfum
What Does Maison Crivelli Tubéreuse Astrale Extrait Smell Like?
It's hard to put into words just how beautiful this perfume is. It's milky, velvety, smouldering and indescribably luxurious. It's inspired by the founder's memories of standing underneath the starry Milky Way in a field of creamy tuberose flowers. It's a floral-leather that perfectly captures the awe of twinkling stars in the endless depths of the night sky. The milky tuberose is hypnotic and carnal, and contrasted with warming cinnamon and musky, suede-like base, it makes it utterly seductive. It has a fuzzy peach skin fruitness to smoothness to it that makes it all the more mouthwatering and unforgettable.
As you wear it, it feels like the fragrance is quite literally glowing on the skin, and its strong projection creates a shooting star-esque trail wherever you walk—a welcome bonus of the potent extrait formula, which is also extremely long-lasting (I can smell it on my skin even the next day). I think it's one of the reasons it gets me so many compliments when I wear it. It's undoutedly a scent to get you noticed.
The Verdict
Although it's lovely to be complimented on a scent, it's a perfume I adore so much that I wouldn't care at all if I didn't get compliments on it. In fact, first discovered Maison Crivelli perfumes when I spotted a bottle of Tubérose Astrale peeking out from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's The Row Margeaux bag. And if RHW loves it, I want in on it too.
It's definitely an investment purchase, so if you don't want to blind-buy a full-size bottle, I'd recommend trying the Maison Crivelli Chocs Olfactifs Discovery Set (£39) or the Adventure Fragrance Gift Set (£135), which respectively have 1.5ml and 5ml vials of the extraits, including Tubérose Astrale.
