Hailey Bieber Swears By This $25 Body Oil for Scars and Stretch Marks Postpartum
I'm a Capricorn sun, so I like to be prepared in life. While I may not have any kids of my own just yet, I sat up, listened, and bookmarked when Hailey Bieber (who recently added mother to her growing list of titles) shared the products that got her through her pregnancy and postpartum days. She took to her Instagram Stories to spill the tea on all the wellness, skincare, and new-mom items she couldn't live without and still uses today.
Normally, you'd think a business woman like Bieber would spare no expense—only using the finest things money can buy—but I was pleasantly surprised to learn that most of her favorites don't even hit the $40 mark. In fact, Bieber and I share a love for a few of the same bodycare products, including one oil for stretch marks that's only $25. Thank you, Hailey, for deciding not to gatekeep. If you're interested in everything that got her through her pregnancy, keep scrolling. I'm sharing all her picks ahead.
Naturium's bodycare products are super underrated IMO, and Bieber thinks so too. She swears by the brand's $20 body butter (which is also a favorite of mine) for smooth, soft, glowing skin. The hydration this offers is unmatched, featuring a blend of botanical oils, shea butter, glycerin, squalane, and peptides. I smooth this on after a shower, and the moisture it offers lasts for days.
Bieber and I are also both big fans of trace mineral supplements. While I'm a big fan of the brand Beam, Bieber loves this do-it-all version from Trace. Harvested from the Great Salt Lake in Utah, these trace minerals help support healthy bones and joints, promote efficient hydration, and help restore lost electrolytes. They also can support a healthy gut and offer mood support.
This is also purely anecdotal, but I've also found that trace mineral supplements help me with menstrual cramps and stomach issues that happen around the start of my cycle.
Bio Oil is known for its stretch mark and scar-reducing formulas. Bieber loves Bio Oil Natural, the brand's all-natural formula with organic oils like sunflower, chia seed, lavender, and rosemary leaf. It also brightens the skin, contains no artificial fragrance, and is noncomedogenic for any acne-prone folks out there.
Another essential Bieber swears by for stretch marks is Bumpology's Bump Butter. It's a butter and oil in one with hydration heavy-hitters like mango, shea, and cocoa butter, which all contain essential vitamins and fatty acids that help improve skin elasticity. This one is a heavy-duty formula that might need some time to dry down, but if you need some extra support in that department, this is the formula for you.
Of course, her list of skincare favorites wouldn't be complete without Rhode's Glazing Milk. This silky, hydrating essence is rich in ceramides, minerals, vitamins, and glycerin to help repair and reinforce the skin barrier. I've used this myself and love how it glides on the skin and provides long-lasting moisture without clogging my pores.
Bieber recommends this cream for stretch marks, but it actually works best as part of a two-step system with the brand's Hydro-Thermal Accelerator. You start with the Hydro-Thermal Accelerator to warm the skin and open the pores and follow with the stretch mark cream for maximum results.
This $13 nipple cream for new moms has had a cult following for years, and Bieber can confirm it's one of the best. It's lanolin-free so you don't have to wash it off before nursing. It contains a blend of organic herbs and oils that soothe and moisturize dry, chapped skin.
Weleda's ultra-rich Skin Food Moisturizer is beloved by so many celebs, but Bieber says not to sleep on the brand's diaper cream. It's formulated with natural skin-calmers like calendula flower extract and beeswax for extra hydration. If it's anything like Skin Food, I have no doubt that it'll leave skin, quite literally, softer than a baby's.
This super-roomy reversible tote is great for the beach, but Bieber also says it's great for carrying all your baby essentials. It's basically a Mary Poppins bag that's easy to clean, water-resistant, and super lightweight.
