I might be a little biased in saying that the people who work in the fashion industry are some of the busiest people (I'm a fashion editor, after all), but I think my friends and family can attest to the fact that it's a demanding industry to work in. Between traveling the world over for fashion weeks, attending press previews, and, of course, logging hours at the office, fashion editors, influencers, buyers, and bosses can't afford to skip out on breakfast. It's the most important meal of the day and can pretty much make or break your energy levels throughout the rest of the day.

To find out what the most ambitious women in fashion consider to be the best breakfast for energy, we reached out to eight of them—from MyTheresa.com's fashion buying director toBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing 's very own chief content officer. Scroll down to read about each of their breakfast routines and get inspired to power up your own morning meals.

Briefly describe your job and what a given day might entail.

Our goal at MyTheresa is to offer the best edit in luxury fashion for our customers, and within my role as the fashion buying director, I take a huge part in delivering this to our customers.

No day is like the other in my job: Sometimes I wake up in Milan, Paris, or New York when I am in market and having a full day of showroom appointments or shows during fashion week. Then I have also weeks of just going through numbers, rechecking order confirmations, quantities, or analyzing past seasons with my team in our London office.

What does your go-to breakfast look like?

I barely have proper breakfast, as most of the time, I have early morning meetings. But If I do, I let myself have a treat and eat smoked salmon, avocado, and maybe some eggs on the side for the extra protein kick. I also love grapefruit because it’s super healthy, good for your skin, and gives you a fresh start.

How much time do you allow to eat breakfast each morning? How does it fit into your morning routine?

Mostly I grab breakfast on the run to work or an appointment. I am used to it, and this became kind of my morning routine.

What do you grab when you're running out the door and don't have time for your regular breakfast?

I always have green tea because it has a detox effect, but also I like it very much. And boiled eggs are my favorite.

Briefly describe your job and what a given day might entail.

My normal day is all over the place, between in-office meeting with my amazing team, out-of-office meetings with designers and brands, ad sales appointments, and recording episodes of my podcast. It’s wild and crazy, and I love it.

What does your go-to breakfast look like?

My go-to breakfast is a shake that I learned about from the amazing nutritionist Kelly LeVeque of @bewellbykelly. It’s pretty simple—Califia Farms unsweetened almond milk, natural peanut butter, an enormous handful of baby spinach, Vital Proteins vanilla protein powder, and flaxseed—and I’m obsessed with it. It keeps me full for ages, and I love jump-starting the day with that much spinach. If I’m working out first, I will have a handful of unsalted almonds instead, and then do the smoothie after I finish my class.

How much time do you allot to eat breakfast each morning? How does it fit into your morning routine?

Between work, working out, my little boy, and my husband, mornings are pretty crazy around my house, so I don’t spend a lot of time relaxing and eating breakfast. It’s also my least favorite meal of the day, so I tend to do it on the run. I always have something, but I’m not great about making a ritual of it!

What do you grab when you're running out the door and don't have time for your regular breakfast?

Raw almonds and a bottle of water. It’s not a perfect meal, but when things are insane, it does the trick.

I concept and fashion-direct shoots including our digital covers. I also create market stories, interview designers, attend events, hang out in sales meetings—you name it; I do it.

What does your go-to breakfast look like?

I am a light-breakfast person. I have a cappuccino with whole milk and cinnamon and a piece of fruit at home. Right now, that’s usually cherries or a peach.

How much time do you allot to eat breakfast each morning? How does it fit into your morning routine?

I usually sit with my 2-year-old daughter to have breakfast, so about 10 to 15 minutes.

What do you grab when you're running out the door and don't have time for your regular breakfast?

I can get by with just the cappuccino, but I cannot have lunch past noon!

What does your go-to breakfast look like?

A smoothie in the morning (L.A.) or croissant with juice and coffee in Paris.

How much time do you allot to eat breakfast each morning? How does it fit into your morning routine?

I live between L.A. and Paris. In L.A., I typically allocate 30 minutes for breakfast in the morning, which is normally a smoothie after yoga. In Paris, I would allocate an hour, a bit more leisurely paced, as I grab and go while I'm walking my dog, and that would consist of croissant and a coffee at a café.

What do you grab when you're running out the door and don't have time for your regular breakfast?

A juice and a piece of fruit.

What does your go-to breakfast look like?

My go-to breakfast consists of one egg, an avocado, and berries almost every morning.

How much time do you allot to eat breakfast each morning? How does it fit into your morning routine?

I eat breakfast with my daughter so will give myself at least 20 minutes, and it usually happens after I've finished with my morning workout.

What do you grab when you're running out the door and don't have time for your regular breakfast?

I'll usually grab one of the premade smoothies from Daily Harvest. They're great and easy to grab when you're on to go!

Briefly describe your job and what a given day might entail.

I oversee a team of seven editors that focus on fashion and beauty. I spend a lot of my day in outward-facing meetings with brands, designers, and sometimes clients.

What does your go-to breakfast look like?

Every morning, I make a smoothie with bananas, chia seeds, almond butter, protein powder, cacao nibs, cold brew, and oat milk. I have some digestive issues, and this really preps me for my day.

How much time do you allot to eat breakfast each morning? How does it fit into your morning routine?

I usually make my smoothie at night and take it with me in the morning where it'll take me anywhere between 20 minutes and two hours to drink, depending on the day.

What do you grab when you're running out the door and don't have time for your regular breakfast?

Usually a piece of fruit!

Briefly describe your job and what a given day might entail.

My day-to-day varies, but for the most part, I'm writing and editing stories and running around L.A. taking meetings with publicists or attending events hosted by brands.

What does your go-to breakfast look like?

I work from home, which is such a blessing when it comes to my meals! I love to cook, so I don't usually order in or eat out, unless of course I have a breakfast or lunch meeting. Typically, I start my day with a cup of coffee, and then I'll eat breakfast after I work out. It'll usually be a smoothie with frozen berries, half a banana, almond milk, and protein powder (right now, I'm using one from Tone It Up) and some other supplements from Hum Nutrition and BareOrganics. I also am a big fan of avocado toast with an egg on top. I am a millennial from L.A., after all.

How much time do you allot to eat breakfast each morning? How does it fit into your morning routine?

I wish I had more time to have a relaxing breakfast, but the truth is I usually drink my smoothie or eat my avocado toast while checking my inbox or writing a story. While I love having breakfast free from phones or my laptop on the weekend, during the workweek, breakfast is strictly for sustenance.

What do you grab when you're running out the door and don't have time for your regular breakfast?

If I don't have time to whip up a smoothie before a morning meeting, I have some RXBars or a Clif Bar. I don't love bars for breakfast, because I feel like that's all I ate in college, but they definitely do the trick if I'm starving.

Briefly describe your job and what a given day might entail.

My title is a little vague to encompass all different things I do every day, from running the Bazaar Instagram account to booking talent for videos and just generally keeping my finger on the pulse of what/who is cool and finding a way to incorporate that into our editorial plan. Right now, most of my time is spent on bookings as we continue to up our video strategy and, of course, Instagram is 24/7. However, I am a fashion editor at heart, so I try to squeeze in fun shopping stories where I can.

What does your go-to breakfast look like?

I actually make myself breakfast every single morning. I cook two eggs well done, and then I like to switch up what I have on the side. Sometimes I'll do half an avocado or just some fresh fruit; sometimes I have two pieces of toast and make an egg sandwich.

How much time do you allot to eat breakfast each morning? How does it fit into your morning routine?

I wake up starving every morning, and I’m hypoglycemic (the non-diabetic kind), so it’s important for me to eat breakfast and get my energy level up first thing. So about 30 minutes of my morning is always dedicated to that. Even if I have a breakfast meeting scheduled in the morning, I still need to eat a little something before I get out the door. Once I’ve eaten, then I’ll get dressed and do everything I need to get out the door.

What do you grab when you're running out the door and don't have time for your regular breakfast?

There’s an Italian café close to my apartment that has the most amazing pastries, so I’ll go there and grab a croissant or a blueberry muffin to go.

Briefly describe your job and what a given day might entail.

Every day is different but is usually made up of a combination of meetings and showroom visits, shoots, events, and just working from home or my co-working space, The Wing (when I’m not traveling, which I often am!).

What does your go-to breakfast look like?

If at home, usually cereal and/or fruit and some water or tea. If out, likely an açaí bowl, or some version of eggs/avocado and a coffee or latte.

How much time do you allot to eat breakfast each morning? How does it fit into your morning routine?

Breakfast has always been really important to me. I'm not the type of persona who can skip it. It also tends to be my favorite meal of the day, so why would I? I often have breakfast meetings with brands or with friends, usually about three or more mornings per week, which can usually take an hour. At home, I'll multitask and eat a quick breakfast while emailing or getting ready for the day.

What do you grab when you're running out the door and don't have time for your regular breakfast?

Just a pear or a banana and then I might try to grab something more substantial once I'm out.
