I'm constantly on the hunt for the coolest pieces to land at retailers, and since I write the Luxury List column, that includes all things designer. Recently, I've been scouring the drops at Saks, Matches, and Fwrd, whose new arrivals have me thinking about which investment pieces will land in my closet—or, at least, at the top of my virtual wish list.

Right now, I have a number of luxe buys sitting in my cart. Since the New Year is about to arrive, I'm thinking about pieces that will carry me into 2023, from directional outerwear and boots to staples including elevated tees and everyday bags plus buzzy items including the chocolate-brown fringed Jonathan Simkhai coat and woven leather Bottega Veneta gloves Kendall Jenner recently wore during a trip to Aspen. Ahead, see all of the cool luxury buys that made the cut.
