Even with the elite nature of The Row's water shoes, Prada's fringe belts, and the new Gucci, nothing from the spring/summer 2024 fashion season came close to comparing to the pure genius and relatable nature of Miu Miu's and Bottega Veneta's overstuffed handbags, which housed everything from blueprints and newspapers to high-heeled pumps, perfectly encompassing the on-the-go way that modern women all seem to move through the world. Despite being the polar opposite of the quiet-luxury, hyper-minimalism trend that continued its dominance on the runways this season, the packed-in purses at Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that people want more when it comes to handbags, not less. Well, at least, that's the case when it comes to what's inside of them.

Unfortunately, the current fashion cycle, no matter how frustrating it may be, won't allow us to actually invest in the exact bags showcased at both brands' shows until at least April. Then again, that's hardly a reason to hold off on copying the viral styling moment. I think I speak for the entire fashion community when I say that we all already have plenty of junk to carry around, whether we truly need it on hand or not. Now that doing so has been deemed chic by the industry's most respected designers, all that's left to buy is an extra-large vessel to stuff it all into.

To make finding the perfect oversize tote for fall that much easier, I called upon my fellowBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing editors and asked them to share with me the purses they're already planning to re-create this trend with. And they certainly delivered. Scroll down to shop the big bags on our fall wish lists and see what we'll be stuffing them with to get the busy look that Miu Miu and Bottega Veneta just made cool.

Bottega Veneta Andiamo Bag

"If we're talking about carryall bags, there's nothing I'd want to haul my life's essentials around in more than Bottega Veneta's Andiamo bag. It's the ideal size and shape for loading in my laptop, change of shoes, and a makeup pouch for an office-to-drinks scenario but is also large enough to serve as a weekender tote for a quick getaway if needed. Practically speaking, it doesn't get any more versatile than this construction, as you can choose from three variations for the straps—top handle, shoulder, or crossbody. It's an investment for sure, but it's one that comes with a high ROI." — Anna LaPlaca, Editor

Dragon Diffusion Santa Croce Bag

"Inspired by Bottega Veneta's woven totes from the S/S 23 runway show, I'm investing in a more affordable but equally spacious, practical, and elegant Dragon Diffusion bag. I love how big the opening of the bag is, allowing for lots of digging through in search of stuff, which I always have a ton of. On any regular day, I'll be putting my laptop in there, a pair of Margaux ballet flats for when my heels inevitably grow too uncomfortable to bear any longer, the large version of Caudalie's Beauty Elixir, a protein bar of some sort, and at least one cashmere item, whether it's a sweater or a shawl for blanketing myself with. Sunglasses (plural) are obviously involved as well, as is my lunch because I'm trying very hard to stop buying Sweetgreen every time I come into the office." — Eliza Huber, Editor

Ferragamo Hug Bag

"Is there anything chicer than Ferragamo's Hug Bag? This editor doesn't think so. While its extra-big size and elongated top handle make it perfect to grab and go on my way out of the door, the beauty in the bag doesn't just come from its Mary Poppins style ability to be overstuffed. Rather, it's how stylish it can look when you do throw everything in there—extra tights, blister Band-Aids, a few loose quarters, a laptop, a dry-shampoo aerosol can… You name it. If there exists a bag that looks this good tucked under the crook of the arm while still being ludicrously capacious, I'd need to see proof because this bag certainly takes that award in my book." — Ana Escalante, Assistant Shopping Editor

"I've had my eye on this J.Crew bag ever since the brand first released it, and I think this season is when I'll finally make the purchase. I love how it's dual-sided with suede and leather, so I can choose which texture I want facing out based on what suits the outfit. While it won't be my work bag, I'll happily stuff my iPad, makeup essentials, wallet, keys, and an array of receipts in here for my everyday outings." — Yusra Siddiqui, Associate Editor

Toteme Suede Tote

"If I'm going to carry an extra-large bag, I want it to be a tote that I can throw over my shoulder, like this perfect espresso-hued one by Toteme. It's large enough to fit a laptop, scarf or sweater, water bottle, notepad, makeup bag, and much more. It'd even be great for travel, but I'd most likely use it for long days of errands this fall and winter. I could use a bag upgrade, as I'm currently running errands with a fabric tote bag." — Allyson Payer, Senior Editor

"When I'm not wearing my Celine Cabas tote, I am throwing everything I own into this Cuyana bag that's seemingly endless. It's perfect for the office, where I'm often juggling my laptop, a packed lunch, and an extra jacket. It's also my go-to for travel. You'll find a camera, every charger known to man, and a quick outfit change to wear upon landing. You won't regret this purchase." — Sierra Mayhew, Associate Editor

The Row Margaux Tote

"The overstuffed Miu Miu bags on the spring/summer 2024 runways instantly conjured images of celebs like Ashley Olsen and Jane Birkin, who treated their lived-in, beat-up, stuffed-to-the-brim Hermès bags as anything but precious. I'm aligned with the idea of putting a designer bag to practical use and have been eyeing the Margaux bag from The Row for its sleek, minimal design, as it can hold everything. It's the ultimate size and shape for a laptop, cashmere sweater, cosmetic pouch, headphones, and an extra pair of shoes." — Kristen Nichols, Associate Director of Special Projects
