Two Sydney Fashion Bloggers Told Us Their Secret L.A. Shopping Spots
Two of our favourite Australian fashion bloggers, Tash Sefton and Elle Ferguson were recently in Los Angeles to attend an intimate dinner hosted by Who What Wear and Paige. It was an event organised to celebrate supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's new capsule collection for the denim label, and if you haven't checked it out already, do yourself a favour (the metallic bomber is at the top of our wish lists).
Following the launch event, Tash and Elle spent a few days in L.A., so we caught up with them to find out all the details of their trip—as in, what are their favourite shopping hotspots.
Keep scrolling to find out and then book the next flight over to Los Angeles.
Who What Wear Australia: Tell us about the Paige launch you attended withBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.
Tash Sefton: We love Paige and have so for many years, so when we were invited to the intimate dinner, we made sure we flew in especially—we had been in New York for fashion week. We met Paige Adams Gellar (designer of Paige) in Australia many years ago and love how she really thinks of a woman’s body when designing her jeans. Also we were so excited to see a fashion element added to the collection with Rosie's range.
Elle Ferguson: It was amazing! It seriously was a magical evening. The best part was after chatting to Paige she explained that the restaurant reminded her of her house so it was like throwing a dinner party for friends at home. That made it feel so unique and very special to be part of.
WWW: Did you have a chance to chat with Rosie and swap style tips?
TS: Yes, the dinner wasn't like a normal event, it was very intimate—like a group of friends catching up. We had met Rosie in Australia before, so we were excited to see her again, especially now she is having a baby. My first question was to check in how she was feeling [now she's pregnant]—being a mum of two little boys myself, being pregnant is such a huge change to your body and how you feel. She told me she felt great!
EF: Tash and I have known Rosie since she came to Australia a couple of years ago so it was great to chat about denim, long-haul flights and her baby bump.
WWW: Where are your favourite shopping spots in L.A.?
TS: Don’t get me started! All I need is four days to really do some damage.
- Rodeo Drive and the triangle of Barneys, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Neiman Marcus.
- Melrose Place for Isabel Marant, Chloé and The Row
- Fred Segal
- American Rag
- The Local store
- 3rd Street in Santa Monica
- Abbot Kinney
- The Grove
- Century City
- The lumber yard
EF: Oh there are sooooo many! Rodeo Drive just because, Melrose Place, Santa Monica, Venice… You can seriously just shop, shop, shop.
WWW: Did you make any amazing purchases while you were there? What were they?
TS: Yes! I managed to get a pair of the Dior bow shoes that are the shoe of the season.
EF: Well I just unpacked and somehow bought seven pairs of shoes!
