The Fall Trend I'm Willing to Put Aside My Jeans For
Even if you don’t actually know me well, there’s a good chance you know how much I love jeans. Perhaps you’ve read one of my many stories about them, seen how much I post photos in them, or have noticed how often I wear them IRL. Whatever the case may be, it’s pretty clear I’m a denim girl through and through. So what has me willing to (temporarily) put my beloved non-stretchy pants aside? Cargos. The utility-inspired trousers are all over my feed, on my mind, and actually in my closet. Since buying this pair (which you can also shop below), I’ve only been itching to add even more to my wardrobe.
So why the obsession? Well, cargo pants are comfortable (which is a big factor in my daily dressing), they are as easy to style as jeans (aka look good with basics), and they offer a similar cool-girl ease and casualness while still looking flattering and polished if you so choose. Combine those things with the fact that all things utility are trending at the moment and, naturally, I’m sold. So are a handful of other fashion girls, it seems. To see how style setters are wearing cargo and utility-inspirited pants at fashion week and on Instagram and to shop them for yourself, just keep scrolling.

Anything backed by the Attico girls and Amina Muaddi is a yes in my book.
I love the idea of pairing the pants with a tonal blazer.
How to make cargo pants work for the office.
Trendy thong sandals are a perfect match for cargos.
Of course, a white tee is always a safe bet.
On Instagram:
Double the utility, double the fun.
Going for an oversize pair is a sure-fire way to make a statement.
Love a tank-and strappy sandals moment.
A lesson in pairing different neutrals.
Style cargo pants with a button-down over a crop top and strappy sandals for a cool night-out look.

Up next? The best fall boot brands, according to me.
Since starting as an intern back in 2013, Nicole Akhtarzad Eshaghpour has held several roles here atBest Knockoff Luxury Clothing , and she is currently Editor-at-Large. It was a less expected route, seeing as she was graduating from business school at USC when this all began, but it has turned out to be the best one for her. Fast-forward to 2024, and she's moved to NYC from her hometown of Beverly Hills and spends her workdays a little differently from when she was an intern starting out. Currently, she focuses on a weekly mélange of shopping content. As far as her personal style goes, she's largely drawn to classic pieces and neutral basics but will always make an exception for something colorful, printed, or bejeweled as long as it's deemed worthy enough. After all, the only thing she loves more than a good party is dressing up for one. On weekdays, she can usually be found at home eating something delicious for dinner and trying to force her husband to watch Summer House.
