8 Celebrity Beauty Products That Are Actually Really Good
I spend a lot of my time in my job playing the role of beauty detective, getting the inside scoop on the products that celebrity makeup artists really use on their clients, and the skincare picks that the A-list genuinely use at home. Not content with simply having access to the best brands and experts in the business, however, countless celebrities have actually tried their hand at creating their own beauty products over the years—some incredibly successful (hello, Fenty Beauty) and some not so much (goodbye, Jessica Simpson's now-defunct Dessert Beauty line).
But which of these celeb-stamped products have actually made the departure from gimmick to respected beauty product in their own right? And which ones are worth spending your money on? Not every single line is full of winners, but some of them feature key buys that do stand up.
Keep scrolling for my eight favorite celebrity-brand beauty products that I think are genuinely good.
Drew Barrymore's Flower Beauty Foundation
You might have spotted Flower Beauty in the aisles of the drugstore and not even realized that it was a celebrity beauty brand, but in fact, this affordable makeup line is the brainchild of Drew Barrymore. There's an amazing face primer in the range that constantly sells out but its the foundation that really impressed me. Coming in at just $13, the coverage and dewy finish rival that of some of the most expensive foundations that I've tried. Trust me—it's seriously good.
Kylie Jenner's Kylie Cosmetics Eye Shadow Palettes
It was the lip kits that everyone went crazy for when Kylie Cosmetics launched back in 2015. Sure, if you like a full-on Kardashian-style matte pout, then they are good—and they last well—but its the eye shadow palettes that I think are most worth the cash. They have a creamy texture, are really pigmented, and always contain a great mix of matte and shimmer shades.
Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop Bath Salts
Starting life as a blog for Gwyneth to share her thoughts on health and wellness, Goop is now something of a global empire and even has its own beauty brand. Even if you don't buy the emotional detox line, this blend of Epsom and Himalayan salts is incredibly relaxing and calming after a long day and makes the best-smelling bath around.
Rosie Huntington Whiteley's Rosie for Autograph Blush
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's Rosie for Autograph makeup range is the jewel in the crown of the Marks and Spencer beauty hall. As would be expected, all of the products are high-performing and focused on creating that soft, glam look that Rosie is known for. I love so much from the range, but her pretty cream blush is my pick of the bunch.
Kate Moss's Rimmel Lipstick
I love Rimmel lipsticks (they're affordable, come in a great range of textures and shades, and last incredibly well on the lips), but anything with Mossy's name on it and I'm there. For great pillar-box reds and classic nudes, you really can't go wrong with this collaboration.
Rihanna's Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint
Fenty Beauty is what a celebrity beauty brand looks like done right. Rihanna totally changed the game in the industry with her range of inclusive foundations and cool-girl highlighters, but it's her Lip Paints that I'm truly obsessed with. Uncensored is a classic red that genuinely suits every skin tone, and the liquid formula lasts through eating and drinking.
Gigi Hadid's Maybelline Highlighter
Gigi's collaboration with Maybelline was a major hit with products flying off the shelves as soon as they landed. Thankfully, there are still some gems to be found, including one of my favorite products from the range—this illuminating liquid highlighter. You can wear it alone for an intense strobe effect, but I prefer to mix a little with my foundation for a dewy look.
Miranda Kerr's Kora Organics Face Balm
When model Miranda Kerr turned her attention to beauty, I was intrigued. Kerr is renowned for her love of natural beauty, so it was no surprise that Kora Organics is a certified natural and organic brand focusing on glowing, healthy skin. The Noni Glow Face Balm is an easy, on-the-go moisturizer that can be used to hydrate skin but also doubles as a natural highlight for sheeny skin.
