The Cult £30 Product Celebs and Editors Rely On for Seriously Radiant Skin
If you've ever looked at a celebrity on the red carpet and wondered how their skin looks so incredibly glowy, chances are it's the handiwork of one cult product. Making its debut back at the 2018 Golden Globes, celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury announced at the time that her innovative new launch was "a complexion booster that brings together the versatility of a primer, the mega-watt glow of a highlighter and the perfecting properties of your favourite digital filter." Yes, this cult makeup product is basically an Instagram filter in a bottle.
Since then, celebrities like Emma Roberts, Mandy Moore and Laura Dern have all stepped out on the red carpet wearing this cult product on their skin. It isn't just the A-list that swear by it—beauty insiders and editors are obsessed with it too. In fact, Emma Spedding—our very own deputy editor—recently joined the cult of Charlotte Tilbury devotees when she got her hands on a bottle.

Emma Roberts swears by this cult product for glowy skin.
The product in question is, of course, Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. It's available in seven shades, and I have to be honest, when I first got my hands on a bottle I wasn't entirely sure how to use it. Was it a highlighter, a foundation or something else altogether? Well, it turns out, it's just great skin in a bottle—and you can kind of use it however you want to.
Even model Danielle Herrington wears it to get a supermodel glow.
Tilbury herself calls Flawless Filter "the ultimate high-gloss, high-glow celebrity skin filter in a bottle"—and, as the makeup artist to supermodels like Kate Moss, she knows what she's talking about.
So how do you apply it? For radiant, allover luminosity, you can apply it all over your face—beneath foundation—to create a radiant base for the rest of your makeup. Or apply it just to the high points of your face like your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose and your cupid's bow for pinpointed highlight. Finally, if you're feeling in the mood for some mega-watt shine, you can apply it all over your skin on top of foundation or wear it alone for a glossy skin look.

I have gone through a couple of bottles of Flawless Filter in the past two years because I love it that much. I swear by it on a night out for making my skin look far more radiant than it could ever look naturally, and it's also amazing the morning after for awakening tired skin.
Emma Spedding recently caved and tried it for herself. "I have spent the past year sat on a desk with a number of beauty editors, and the one thing I’ve learned from them is that Charlotte Tilbury’s Flawless Filter is something they all really really love. Oh, and that you should always wear SPF," she said. "After months of eavesdropping about this instant glow in a bottle, I finally bought into it and I'm obsessed. I have been wearing it under my foundation, and it's particularly helped brighten my complexion on days when I look a little ashen or half awake."
Emma is seriously pleased with her glowy skin.

Another glow-boosting product that you can apply over or under foundation.
More of an intense glow than the Charlotte Tilbury, I tend to mix a couple of drops of this in with my foundation to create more of a subtle sheen.
Just like the name suggests, this liquid highlighter looks amazing applied over your base products for a high-shine, glass skin effect.
