Dakota Johnson's Awesome Ankle Boots Totally Make Her Outfit
Coming from a minimalist, wearing a killer pair of shoes is one of the easiest ways to take a basic outfit to the next level. This style trick seriously always works, no matter the season. Serving as the perfect example is Dakota Johnson, who just stepped out in New York City in what seemed like a perfectly basic fall weather outfit—a gray wool coat from A.P.C. and a plain black top tucked into cuffed boyfriend jeans—until we got to her shoes.
The shoes in question are a majorly lust-worthy pair of Gucci leather ankle boots with the coolest details. Aside from the signature interlocking gold G's serving as a major status symbol, the actual construction of these shoes is something to marvel at. Their square toe gives them all the sophistication of a loafer style, but the mid-height block heel and ankle-shaft height incorporate the best elements of an ankle boot. They mesh perfectly with Johnson's typical crisp style, but this hybrid shoe inspiration keeps things exciting. We would be thrilled to have a pair of shoes like this in our own closet.
