Easter Is Right Around the Corner—7 Trending Nail Colors Celeb Manicurists Love

Out of all the holidays we get to experience in a year, Easter happens to be one of my favorites. Its sudden yet welcome arrival is our first look at what we can expect from warmer months ahead and promises a sense of rebirth. For Easter nail ideas this year, celeb manicurists are looking to the runways and red carpets for a glimpse of what else we can expect. Los Angeles based manicurist Kim Truong—who is Lottie London's artist in residence and whose work can be seen on the lovely hands of celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Halle Berry—shared the nail polish shades she predicts will be trending this Easter.

"Easter is the perfect time for pastel nails. The softer and bright colors get everyone excited and ready for spring," begins Truong. "Baby pinks, lavenders, and light blues will be popular this year." These colors, among many other vibrant hues, have been steadily rising in popularity. (Check out the gorgeous nail looks on celebs, influencers, and other notable fashion people from award season and the fashion-week runways.) Viva Magenta, for example, is having its renaissance as the Pantone Color of the Year.

For her celeb clients, Truong is using three gorgeous shades to create the perfect Easter manis: CND's Cake Pop, Orly's Forget Me Not, and Chanel's Pastel Sand in addition to the Lottie x KimKim Stay Press'd Nails in Colour Block Party. Ready to try these Easter-themed colors for yourself? Check out the rest of Truong's recommendations as well as a few of our beauty editor approved favorites below. Prepare your credit cards. Each and every one of these shades are worth breaking the bank for!

Bright Blue

Bright blue, whether it's in the robin-egg or sky category, is making a comeback this year. It's the ultimate ode to spring, taking inspiration from the return of blue skies and, commonly, the robin. If you're on the hunt for a vibrant blue, one of Truong's go-to spring nail colors is Orly's Forget Me Not, a pastel sky-blue cream polish that looks stunning worn alone or layered with your favorite chrome polish for a trendy pearlescent finish.

Baby Pink

As long as we're drooling over pretty pastels, we'll never be over a classic, ultra-romantic manicure using powdery baby pink. Celeb nail artists like Truong are gravitating toward versatile shades like CND's Vinylux Weekly Polish in Cake Pop for a splash of pink that's as sweet as the Peeps marshmallow bunnies that line the shelves around this time of year.

Viva Magenta

If you haven't heard yet, this year's Pantone Color of the Year is Viva Magenta. Flirty and vibrant, this shade has been showing up everywhere from the runways of New York Fashion Week to the silver screen (thanks to Greta Gerwig's upcoming film Barbie starring Margot Robbie as its titular character). Our favorite nail polish to pull off this perfectly pink look? Butter London's Nail Lacquer in Flusher Blusher.

Electric Lavender

What better way to sport an Easter-inspired manicure than wearing a vibrant lavender that's equally timeless and youthful? Truong identified the color as a must-have for this spring for her celeb clientele—perhaps due to the tradition of dyeing pastel-hued Easter eggs. When it comes to lavender nails this spring, the brighter the better.

Groovy Green

The '70s are back, baby! Lean into the trend by trying a groovy lime green on your next trip to the nail salon. Take some inspiration from this gorgeous nail art from another celeb nail artist, Hang Nguyen, who adds ditzy florals and an unexpected cow print to her fun green manicure. It's the perfect way to celebrate the season's thriving flora and fauna while tying in the '70s style comeback.

Polished Off-White

We've never met a beauty editor who doesn't appreciate the sheer impact of a perfect off-white mani as the finishing touch for any look. This Easter, we'll be shying away from super-bright white nail polish and trying out the off-white manicure craze. Our top pick for a nail polish that won't let us down? OPI's Nail Lacquer in Funny Bunny. Wear it alone or add a tiny swipe of white nail polish at the tips for a minimalistic French, as spotted on celeb manicurist Betina Goldstein.

Soft Tangerine

Hinting toward color trends this summer, creamy tangerine has emerged over the past couple of weeks as another trendy spring shade that we're expecting to see this Easter. To copy this look, we recommend finding the delicate equilibrium between bold, almost neon colors and more demure pastels. You can thank us later (after you've received nonstop compliments on your nails).
