28 Fall Shopping Finds You Have to See If Your Motto Is "Fewer But Better"
At the start of this year, I decided to seriously curb my impulsive purchases and actually save up for worthwhile wardrobe investments that will outlast trends and outsmart seasons. It's definitely easier said than done, but this season, I'm setting out to make my closet stronger and last much longer.
I know I'm not the only one feeling this way either. We're reaching a point in fashion where many of us are experiencing trend fatigue, and while I don't foresee trends ever ceasing to exist, I think the answer to this exhaustion is twofold: narrowing in on a personal style that isn't so easily swayed by fleeting trends and being a pickier shopper—a much pickier shopper. I'm focused on building a wardrobe that's timeless and trend-agnostic, and most importantly, feels like me.
When it comes to shopping, I'm navigating things with a "fewer but better" mindset, and now that fall's new arrivals are finally hitting the market, I figured I'd share what I'm currently eyeing in case you, too, want to shop like me. With that, here are the 28 best fall investment buys for the season ahead. They're cool, they're classic, and they're designed to last.
I know it might be a little too early to be thinking about coats, but no matter how trends come and go, a luxe suede style is one that will last you for years and years.
Louise Trotter's first two collections for Carven have been the talk of the town for the modern elegance and refined silhouettes its presented. The square-toe mules that featured have now landed online, and the highly repeatable shoes are sure to be a key item for fall.
Leather-band watches are as timeless as it gets and although Heaven Mayhem only recently released its modular timepiece, it's just brimming with heirloom quality.
If I see you wearing a funnel-neck jacket, I know you get it.
Another piece I'm after from Carven? This stunning sheer organza midi skirt.
Flats are only getting chicer in 2024. Case in point? The ballet-flats version of Manolo Blahnik's iconic Maysale pumps.
A chic blazer that features a very fall '24 hourglass silhouette.
Similar to the flats that Kendall Jenner is wearing all over Paris right now.
I don't think a double-denim ensemble will ever go "out." Actually, I can guarantee it won't.
I'm convinced that my closet won't feel complete until this silk camisole resides in it.
Relaxed white jeans are one trend I plan on wearing well into the fall.
A timeless version of the jewelry trend that's going viral right now.
If it comes with a matching scarf, it's probably already in my cart.
I've been lusting after this perfect day-to-night bag for way too long.
The blazer silhouette that's officially outdoing oversize blazers.
Vest tops continue to be in my rotation, but this boxy version feels undeniably fresh.
There's a reason Celine's Triomphe sunglasses continue to be popular years after their debut: the classic, timeless shape looks good on everyone.
I love the sleek simplicity of this maxi that can work with everything from slingbacks to Sambas.
I always invest in heels that I can walk a lot in, and these look as comfortable as they are cool.
A versatile black top should be a staple in every closet, but this slim fit and flared sleeve shape really takes things to the next level.
