I Tried an AI Personal Stylist—Here's Everything It Picked Out for My Fall Wardrobe
Luxury membership service Vivrelle has launched an AI personal styling tool called Ella, in partnership with Revolve and Fwrd. The concept is simple: You tell Ella what you're shopping for, and it scans hundreds of products across all three retailers to refine your search, curating pieces that feel more tailored to you—making the browsing experience more personal.
While I wouldn't replace a real stylist with AI (you can't replicate the taste, intuition, or rapport of a human), I was curious to see how it would work for browsing specific retailers. You can ask any shopping questions—from "Help me pack for a trip to Miami" to "Pick out dresses for an engagement party"—and it sources rental, resale, and retail items from Vivrelle, Revolve, and Fwrd.
I gave it a couple of my preferences: "I like minimalist clothing in neutral colors" and "I wear brands like Paloma Wool and Geel." With that, I asked it to suggest some options for my fall wardrobe—here’s everything it picked out.
