When I'm looking for something reliable and chic—pared back but still elevated—Reformation is always an obvious choice. Case in point: When I needed a minimalistic, timeless wedding guest dress, it was the one of the first brands I checked. (I ended up going with the Casette Dress in black, which I still love.)

The brand's clothes tend to feel effortless yet elegant—like you just threw it on and somehow look put-together. Having perfected the in-between of elevated and relaxed, its pieces are the kind you wear over and over.

I loved the brand's recent expansion into sleepwear with its pajama launch, and its collaboration with Devon Lee Carlson was, of course, highly talked about. When I found out Reformation also makes swimwear and just put out its first seasonal swim collection of 2025, I knew I had to try it. Here's what I thought.

What I Tried

Vicky Bikini Top and Douro Bikini Bottom in Black Fior

This is the first one I tried on, and I'm not even exaggerating—my first unfiltered reaction in my head was literally "Wow." The fabric is extremely soft in a way I wasn't expecting. (It's made from EVO by Fulgar, a biobased fiber.) The bottoms have a cheeky coverage and mid-rise, and the set comes in three other colorways: Fior Lipstick, Lipstick Midnight, and Midnight Lipstick. It looks so chic on, and this was the swimsuit I ended up keeping.

Maldives Bikini Top and Campo Bikini Bottom in Azure

If I had to pick just two favorites, they'd be this one and the contrast-trim set, without a doubt. I love the sweet blue with the lace trim and underwire. I've been thinking about it ever since I tried it on, and honestly, I might go back for it.

Azores Bikini Top and Faro Bikini Bottom in Black

I always gravitate toward black bikinis, and this season, I've been obsessed with swim shorts, so this one was very much my vibe. The top is a classic string-tie bikini, but it definitely feels higher-quality. Fit-wise, I'd recommend sizing up on the bottoms if you're between sizes or just want a little more coverage.

Soleil Bikini Top and Azure Bikini Bottom in Lipstick

This one felt so good on—super flattering and comfortable. I love the cherry red too. I'm not big on high-waisted bottoms for myself, but if that's your preference, this set is definitely the one for you.
