The Subtle Shoe Trend That's Everywhere You Look
Some shoe trends creep up on us. We saw the metallic boot thing coming, and we've not been surprised by how the glove shoe has taken off, or the fact that loafers continue to be such a big retail smash. But the rise of the sculptural heel? Well, we initially thought this work of footwear architecture could only be achieved by the most directional high-fashion designers. How wrong we were: Look to Mango, Zara or Topshop—as well as plenty of midrange contemporary brands—and you'll find interesting heel shapes aplenty. In fact, there's been one particular shoe that's already been relied heavily upon by a set of bloggers.
From the simple but effective silhouette of a flared block heel on a pair of party sandals through the curvaceous lines of a sock boot's new-found companion, the potential for kudos is pretty large. So this #TuesdayShoesday, we're dedicating a little time to the best and most artistic heels out there—starting at a pretty tempting £40 up to purchases with a little more designer power.
