I'm So Into Free People's New Collection—These 7 Items Are My New Go-To's
Welcome to The Great Try-On. We're gearing up for fall, and that includes freshening up our wardrobes with some new pieces. We got to try on some of the best fall pieces from some of your favorite brands and documented it all from our at-home dressing rooms so that you can see how they actually look IRL. We hope that our photos and candid reviews will help you shop for fall wardrobe builders and trend-forward pieces that you'll wear over and over this season and beyond.
Fall is here and I couldn’t be more excited. There are so many different reasons to be excited about the coming of the new season. Planning fall getaways upstate, getting to put back on your favorite sweater, everything is suddenly pumpkin spice and crisp apple flavor, Halloween is just around the corner, and if you’re on the East Coast like me, the leaves change to gorgeous shades of marigold, red, and orange. Oh, and of course, my birthday just happens to also be in the fall so maybe I am a bit biased.
But one of the best things about fall is fall fashion comes back and I am more ready than ever to start wearing fall outfits. Recently I have been ordering some new pieces to add to my closet for fall and I had to get a few new Free People items. Free People always has something that I love, and when doing my shopping for fall I filled my cart way too full of chic mini skirts, cozy sweaters, button-down tops, and more. 7 Items I received really stood out to me, I mean I’m obsessed with them. I found the perfect prep school-inspired pleated mini skirt and bodysuits I can live in.

Free People Midi Slip Dress
My review: I love a good slip dress for fall and when I saw this green option on Free People’s website I fell in love. It’s super comfortable when you put it on, and a super versatile piece. You can layer this dress over a long sleeve top or pair it with a leather jacket. I’d style this dress with boots, sneakers, or loafers.

Free People Lucky Shirtee
My review: Every fall I feel like my fall wardrobe is always lacking great tops. When I’m looking for a top for fall I want something that keeps me warm, is stylish, and something that I can style with multiple different bottoms. I really liked this button front, printed long sleeve. It's super lightweight and I styled it with a black mini skirt.

Free People Clean Lines Bodysuit
My review: If there is one basic that I think everyone should own, it's a great black bodysuit. This one is so soft and stretchy, when I put it on it was so comfortable I want it in every color. I wore this bodysuit with jeans and a sweater to a dinner last week with friends. I’m pretty sure I’ll be living in this bodysuit all season.

Free People Layering Top, Be Right There Bra, and Pleated Micro Mini Skort
My review: Okay I am obsessed with both this top and skirt. I love all things pretty, so that includes lace. Once I saw this sheer top I thought it was so cute I had to have it. I’m really into the prep school / scholastic look for fall and this mini skirt fits the trend to a T. The bralette I picked is so comfy and looked like exactly what I was looking for to wear under this sheer lace top.

Free People Fair and Square Neck Duo Bodysuit
My review: This color to me screams fall. I love a deep earth tone, and a good bodysuit can be worn with jeans, a skirt, leather pants, trousers, you name it. I plan on styling this bodysuit basically every way I can before the season ends. The square neckline is so flattering too, I’m obsessed.
