Taking a road trip around L.A. has been a dream of mine for ages. I always believed that experiencing this cinematic environment with my own senses had to be a true novelty, and I was right. It’s probably the same feeling Americans have when they first visit Paris. It’s one thing to have seen images of it, and it’s a whole other thing to live it. It might sound silly, but it’s something I’ve always been drawn to when it comes to travel. Soaking up every moment of any trip is a must for me, as I want to take advantage of every chance I have to understand the world I live in. Needless to say, I take packing for these sort of trips very seriously (just like I do the road trip playlist). So let’s dig into my six packing essentials for a California road trip!

Pack your favorite slip dresses.

You should always pack several slip dresses for a sunny destination. As indicated by their name, they’re just so easy to slip on and wear from day to night. Just wear them with your favorite pair of mules or sandals, and throw a cardigan on when it gets chilly. It’s just a super-easy look that's still effortlessly chic (and French).
